Star Sapphire, the pink lantern! The show doesn't mention it since John is the lantern they use, but she's basically Hal Jordan's Catwoman. Pink is the lantern color of love, but depending on the leadership this is often taken to the extreme "weird love cult" level.

some information on a couple of the villains: Whilst not said on screen in the episode the group here is meant to be an adaptation of the injustice league/ gang, one of the many teams of super villains designed to counter the league. IRL Ultra Humanite was superman's original arch nemesis predating Lex Luthor by just under a year. Initially he was portrayed as a scientist bound to a wheelchair due to an experiment expanding his mental capacities in such a way that his body could not stand their strain. As a result he would transplant his mind surgically into the bodies of others most notably into the body of woman named Dorales Winters due to believing no one would suspect a woman to be a criminal mastermind (a very 1939 mindset lol). Ultra would be killed off just 2 issues before Luthor is introduced and not make return for several decades. After being brought back he would transfer his brain into the mind of a white gorilla from a secret city of intelligent gorilla (long story) to give himself physical power with most new versions treating that as his preferred form. In more modern comics he's largely left behind his role as a strictly superman villain and instead now pops up in several heroes' stories including batman's. Star Sapphire's appearance here has always been confusing as traditionally in the comics she is Carol Ferris boss (at Ferris Air) and love interest of Hal Jordan's version of Green Lantern. However given that in Superman the animated Series Hal's backstory was given to Kyle but without the connection to Ferris Air its unclear what her origins are within the DCAU. Notably she speaks in a English accent which may indicate she isn't even Carol Ferris. In the comics Carol is given a crystal by all female aliens called the Zamoran which in addition to powers gave her an evil alternate personality hellbent of killing Hal, who the Zamorans considered an enemy as a green lantern. When rid of the crystal she would not remember her actions as Star Sapphire and so Hal would keep it a secret from her. Later comics would reveal that the Green lantern's leaders, the Guardians of the Universe and the Zamorans were once the same race but billions of years ago all the females disagreed with their male counterparts and left to form their own society on a new planet eventually evolving into the Zamorans. Likewise in comics released after this show the idea of Star Sapphire would evolve. It was introduced that in order to rid the evil influence of the crystals had on their users they would create Violet rings and a Violet power battery. Much like Green Lantern rings run on will these Violet rings would run on love. They would give these rings to women who lost the one they love or to women who had been betrayed by the one they love so they can enact vengeance. As a result there is now a whole corp of Star Sapphires. Cheetah is sometimes considered Wonder Woman's arch nemesis but there are several villains who could make that claim. The origins of her powers vary depending on the continuity with also various women taking the name. In her original appearances she was largely just a lady wearing a full body leopard print costume. Copperhead was in Arkham Origins as one of the assassins though there they are female rather than male like the comics.

This was another super fun one and I'm glad you met some other villains like The Shade, Ultra-Humanite, Copperhead, Cheetah, and Star-Sapphire. And seeing them all work together alongside Lex Luthor and Joker was awesome. I also think it was great like you said that there wasn't a whole lot of exposition for these characters and there is not an assumption that people know who these characters are. I also love that you got to finally see Lex be a true villain, showing how petty he is and seeing him in his signature purple and green mech suit. I think with Joker knowing how Batman thinks is both because he knows he doesn't give up and also cause he knows that he'd track Lex, which is how Joker found the tracker that Batman put on Lex. I also agree with you on Lex and Bruce being similar and I agree with a statement I saw someone made that was basically saying Lex is what Bruce would become if he made different decisions in his life. But I'm so glad you're having such a great time with this show that we don't have to wait long for new episodes. And yeah you're right that there isn't really any misses with these episodes. I feel like it'll be fun to rank which episodes are your most favorite after you finish watching it cause I know there's even better episodes that are yet to come. I also can't wait for Throne of Atlantis. I'm curious to know what you'll think of it since I know you already love the version of Aquaman from this show. But this and really all the reactions you've done so far for this show will be ones I'm definitely going to be revisiting over and over again. Also I know you briefly mentioned the Injustice games. If you don't plan on playing them I do hope you at least do reaction to the story mode cutscenes like you did with Assassin's Creed Valhalla cause I'd love to not only see your reaction to it but also hear what you think of the story.

This is one of my favorite episodes of JL TAS! First of all turned out that kryptonite Lex Luthor always had to protect himself from Superman all the time was slowly poisoning him. So desperate for help he got Ultra-Humanite and then some others supervillians too, course he wasn't really expecting Joker! Anyway it was funny how Bats was playing into their minds and that was how he got Ultra-Humanite to help the league out at the end. TOUGH LUCK LEX LUTHOR AND JOKER!!!😠🤣

Let's go! So happy you've been enjoying this show!!!

A standout episode focusing more on a new crew of villains and how they interact than any major character developments with the League, though I do believe J'onn is right about Batman's insecurity when it comes to working with the others. Then again, he's always been an overachiever when it comes to his mission. Big fan of the new Joker design- they clearly listened to the complaints about the Season 3 design and combined the two to add some detail back in. Cheetah is an archenemy of Wonder Woman, the first of several of them to appear here since she never got her own series. Assembling a team of villains is the logical response when your goal is to destroy a team of heroes, but they were only held together by the promise of Luthor's money, which as we see here isn't the binding force that Lex was hoping it to be. Especially when someone with equally deep pockets is around...

Aw I love that Superman refuses to let Batman out of bed. Also there's a fun Easter Egg, during the final fight there's a statue of The Wonder Twins from the old Super Friends cartoon from the 70's.

They kind of foreshadowed that kryptonite was not safe for humans in Superman: The Animated Series episode "World's Finest." In that episode Joker steals a Kryptonite statue. Batman learns the statue had multiple owners and all the people who owned this statue died of untimely deaths. Batman also notices that the kryptonite gives off low levels of radiation. So it's a cool callback to Superman: TAS. The Shade is a pretty cool villain, and in some comics he's extremely powerful, almost immortal and he he commits crimes because he's bored. He's a villain but he's not cruel, he's careful not to harm the heroes in his fights and often lets them win. I don't know if that version of the Shade is still canon though. But it was a cool storyline in the 90's

Fun fact, Ultra-Humanite is the first supervision Superman fought/ the first DC villian. He was originally just a mad scientist but a couple apperences later they established his MO being to transplant his brain in other people's bodies. He ultimately places his brain in the mutant ape body, cuz comics. He's a fun villain
