Another great episode and unfortunately one of the few Mr Freeze appearances. I’ve been waiting for you to react to this episode to tell you this, Meg, but I just wanna make you aware that there is canon movie called Batman and Mr Freeze: Sub-Zero which you’re supposed to watch in between seasons 2 and 3, akin to Mask of the Phantasm between 1 and 2. It’s Freeze’s most major appearance in the series besides his debut episode (which was so long ago now), and I thought I’d let you know ahead of time.

Yeah Freeze is so dedicated to his wife Nora he'll do almost anything to get her back and cured. Good thing he came to his senses about that domain that crazy man made.

I was so waiting for this episode! Definitely another favorite episode of the series. Though usually the Mr. Freeze episodes are always really good. As KrakenKing mentioned, there is an animated movie called Batman and Mr. Freeze: Sub Zero that I hope you react to maybe after you finish season 2 and before you start season 3 as the events of the movie takes place before the next season. It also acts as a sort of sequel to this episode. Plus if you enjoyed the other feature film, Mask of the Phantasm, I think you'll love this one. Also several things to mention in this episode, the little Batman toy flying around is based on an actual DC character named Bat-Mite. If you remember Mister Mxyzptlk from that episode in STAS and how he's a god from the fifth dimension, Bat-Mite is one as well and lives in the same dimension as Mxyzptlk. Another thing is when Rossum throws the Bat-Mite toy in the chest, there's a split second shot of some toys that we see that are based on other DC characters. The orange cat is Supergirl's pet Streaky the Supercat, the white dog is Superman's pet Krypto the Superdog, and the guy sitting on the flying carpet is actually Mister Mxyzptlk and what he looks like in the comics. Thanks for another DC reaction and hope we get more soon! I'm interested to see and hear what you think of the next episode as it's mostly regarded by fans to be the worst episode in the series. I also just wanted to mention that the Sub Zero movie is thankfully still on Max so you won't have to rent it on Amazon. Also I know you and Caleb wanted to watch the Batman 1989 movie at some point and that one is also still on Max as well too

Good reaction! So a comment said next episode is the worst of the show. I don’t know if you’ll agree but can’t wait regardless. I would just watch 16 & 17 because episode 17 is a good one. Also there’s a movie called Batman & Mr Freeze: Subzero which takes place after this season and before the last one. ^^

So the flying Batman toy is actually an Easter egg/nod to a character from the Batman lore named Bat Mite. That’s what he looks like in the comics, He’s from the same dimension as Mr Mxyzptlk who you met STAS. He has the same type of powers of bending reality but he’s often a good guy because he’s Batman’s #1 fan who watches his adventures in his world but he would sometimes go to Bruce’s world and can be a annoyance to the Bat Family but they know he means well because he’s just being a fan. If you remember in the STAS reaction about Mr Mxyzptlk on patreon, I mention a character that is from his world who is a fan of a big character, I was talking about Bat Mite. Lol

A long stretch between Heart of Ice and its sequel, because the producers were terrified of a sub-par follow up. Fortunately it's far from that, packed with a lot of crazy ideas and references to Walt Disney. Good comparison between Nora and Robin. Freeze has partnered with Batman a few times or at least respects him, but can never let go of his obsession. Freeze gets more of a conclusion in the Subzero movie.

Mr Freeze they always make us feel so sad for him I just want him to be happy, It is pretty crazy tho that a billionaire built a whole city for select few that could have been a great thing if he wasn't so selfish

Watched it the other week, did find it strange that it's considered the worst. If anything it highlights a realistic enemy that Batman should be facing. But let's see what you think..
