forwards not backwards babey!

Arthur couldn't climb back up at the windmill before, and I doubt he could do it now, being severely injured. Idk if the labyrinth will even pan out, but comparatively, it seems like a very bad idea to attempt to climb a sheer drop when you've recently been disemboweled, could bust some of those very important stitches very easily. Labyrinth, final answer 👍

Heather Bruce

Let's give Yorik some trust. This feels like a lower stakes way to try, right? And anyway, Arthur is stressed, hurt, and used to working harder not smarter. Since it's the "easier" option, he's hesitent.

PinchOfpeppers

I just feel like we’re taking a step backwards if we go back to the windmill. And Arthur needs a break from climbing stuff after recovering from multiple stab wounds.

MomoTheMoogle

The moment BJ posed the choice, I thought "We have to keep moving forward, we can't go backward." Days later, that thought hasn't gone away. So, Hallways it is.

MomoTheMoogle

I feel like I remember something about needing to keep going forward. Not sure if it was something in the show itself or something Harlan said, but I immediately thought about it with this choice.

BeastlyDeath

I'm putting it all on our skully boi 🎲 he knows something and he obviously hasn't said this every time they've tried

Anusia Battersby

This is my first vote and I am a little terrified. Godspeed y'all.

Megs

As much as I would like to see what we missed upstairs in the windmill, I agree about the risk of Arthur hurting himself trying to climb up. I’m down for looking around the labyrinth.

Marknado

In Yorick we trust. Screw the windmill screw Kayne for dropping Arthur off there

Amy

Windmill for Owlexander! Also, Arthur and John have been exploring the labyrinth for 3 days now. It might not even have an exit, maybe it’s some kind of prison the hag used to confuse and trap her enemies.

Rook

I'm for taking the halls again unless there's some real convincing argument for why the windmill is worth risking a trip back to the Waylay. If we don't find an exit in the halls Arthur has to put up with another recovery day, which isn't the end of the world. I mean it might be, who knows, but probably not.

Rook

Hey welcome to the club! Don't stress, my first vote got Arthur straight up killed so you can't do much worse than that lol

Nicky

Arthur often talks about feeling the need/desire to press onward, keep moving forward

Rook

Welcome to you too then! My first vote was in the talisman poll, and I chose to go after it. I don't regret the choice, we got some great moments out of it, but holy shit was that a rough start lol It felt like "Welcome to the patreon, your choice has immediately killed your main character. Good job👍"

Sarmad Syed

Need a rope to climb it anyway which means Arthur needs to look around anyway might as well keep trying the hallways.

Positive

Can't climb out through the windmill because lack of ladder and healing stomach & chest wounds. Also, I worry that we might get Lily 2.0 and find Alexander half-eaten or something. Plus, last time we tried to backtrack, Arty got injured, and I theorise that the tunnels lead to the castle and I wanna hear Art have to talk his way out of wearing the missing prince's clothes and keeping his head at his belt.

Anusia Battersby

I just think that we should go with Artie on this one. He's determined enough to find a way back to the Windmill, and Yorick says he knows the way back too, as opposed to being sure that they can find a way out of the tunnels, eventually. There's a huge difference between knowing and being fairly certain. They have been trying the tunnels for three days - what if Yorick has been saying this over and over? I also think the Windmill could hold more gems narratively. There is established lore around the Blackstone, there were enough interesting things both within the Windmill (brooch, Alexander, evidence of someone camping out) that I think it warrants further investigation. There was also a lot around the tunnels from the Windmill to the Sanctum - statues, snakes, shifting tunnels. Y'all still get a dungeon crawl, just with a known exit to the surface. Finally, I think there's something lovely about returning to a place having been reborn and being given the opportunity to triumph against the odds - the will to hold on, to climb upwards to the light, to improvise. I don't think the Windmill would have been given as an option, albeit an underdog option, if there wasn't going to be a S3-level opportunity for Arthur to triumph. Everyone is against going back to the Windmill, and we know what this man is like when everyone is against him. "If you can keep your head when all men doubt you" is literally Arthur right now. That's all I have for now. However this turns out, I'm having an amazing time and am very excited to see what comes next!

totally agreed!!! I also desperately want to learn what was upstairs that we missed out on for the womb tunnels™️
