I vote for getting a piece of the witch. Yoric hasn’t let us down before and I don’t want to chance losing the dagger, especially if the door is magically sealed. It sounds like the place they dumped the witch is a well known and safe area, so the chance of running into a hostile creature is low. The only thing that could be worrisome is whether going into the water would infect Arthur’s wound or something along those lines. Either way, it seems like low risk, and even if the witch piece doesn’t work, they just use the dagger or something else anyway

I feel like trying with the dagger first would be better. I really don't want to risk John getting even more stressed out or that Arthur gets an infection from the water (or gets attacked heavens forbid) and B!John's warning about Yorick at the start of the chap is a little concerning, even tho he is right we can't get to comfy with Yorick, (John from the start has warned Arthur about how tricky the vanguard could be.) Besides if the dagger doesn't work we can probably head to the witch afterwards or hell maybe the talisman is the key?

I don't know, considering the broach from the windmill.... I'm not totally sold on the statues being *meaningless*. not relevant to finding a way out, maybe, but....

These times are why I can binge this show for hours. The downtime after massive, horrible events, the chance to catch your breath, reconnect with your friends, buck toxic masculinity and tell a bro how you love them. You know, normal downtime stuff between the horrors of existence.

True, but maybe it's like something separate she made/had so that certain things could be done with the talisman (like opening locked doors) but controlling the environment with her magic was all her. It would make it harder for would be victims/thieves to escape since maybe they'd need both?? idk. It could also be that even though it was in Arthur's possession the witch was still close enough to use it??

My concern is that the witch was originally drowned as a child and mentioned that in the mud and dark water is where the Dark saved her. My guess is the Dark is in that water

AUGH MY HEART THAT WAS SO SWEET I like Yorick but I'm far from trusting him, grabbing the witch is not a good idea. Additionally, I honestly don't believe Kayne would give Arthur such a flimsy dagger. Of course, he's also rooting for drama more than anything so it is entirely possible.

Man, I was so looking forward to hearing their heart to heart after all of John's revelations and hearing how Arthur reacted. I guess the puzzle is interesting, but man, bit of a let down.

I love this show and the characters but why does all the interesting stuff (Faust, John's time in the DW, John's interactions with Lilly, their heart-to-heart) have to happen off screen? That's the juicy character development.
