I could barely understand him but his tone made it sound like he would have kept Arthur there until something got him....

OKAY. HERE ME OUT HERE. I DON’T THINK WE SHOULD CHOOSE TO CUT IT OUT OF OSCAR AND HERE’S A FEW REASONS WHY:

1. Oscar’s read the big book of creatures, he may have recognized what it is and that cutting it out is a bad call. There’s high evidence of these creatures originating from the Dreamlands, which the book seemed to have information about. 2. Arthur would likely default to using Kayne’s dagger as the surgical instrument. **I cannot stress how bad of a decision I think this would be.** Oscar may end up more harmed for it. 3. Arthur can’t see what’s happening. John may be incorrect about what is going on. He just had a veritable Moment™️ examining the photograph, he may not be thinking clearly. I don’t think that it’s as if John would intentionally be lying for a change to take a dagger to Oscar, but he’s not in his right mind and there’s high chance he could end up fucking the surgery up and hitting a vital artery out of panic. Then Oscar surely bleeds out.

John is my favorite Eldritch boy, but I feel like we can’t trust him 😭 so far trusting Oscar has gotten us further. So I think we need to not cut the bug thing out and trust our pal Oscar (I’m sorry John ily)

HOO BOY GOTTA LOVE WHEN SHIT HITS THE FAN. Impromptu surgery with a dagger seems like a terrible idea but, as you guys know by now, I advocate for those out of morbid curiosity. The test is pretty much "Is Hank in the comments saying 'DO IT'? Do the opposite."

Was Oscar saying "what are you doing?" To Arthur or the bug thing?? (Also at 8:30 Oscar says "let me out"???? Is the bug, like, talking through him??? I'm reading way too much in to everything, having a ball)

Definitely don’t cut it out- as others have said, the dagger might be even more trouble. I think the bug is going to help us beat scratch!

…and if we’re wrong letting it be, at least we are honoring Oscar’s wishes, haha. But my humble guess is the bug would have appeared in the basement anyway, since it seems to have been tracking them, and I think it’s a (gruesome) ally.
