Couple things that we could have John keep an eye out for could be bills, specifically overdue bills? Since it seemed like whoever own the home and farm weren’t doing the best finances wise. Plus, it could give a name aside from Allen

“book” is a strong contender for me: I think it’s likely he wrote about finding it, what he was able to decipher/learn from it, and how he planned to / ended up using it, all of which could be valuable in figuring out a plan. “Dream” May also be a good choice, though it’s based more on an assumption that the digging and subsequent activities were prompted/guided by encountering an entity in dreams

Could be Eviction notes, like if you don’t pay by a certain date you get the boot and with Allen being killed, by god knows what that could lead to him receiving massive amounts of letters of evictions notices

This raises a small theory that possibly, Allen have not been the only one to have summoned Scratch, and other names could lead to others may or may not have other fragments of him as well

My concern with scanning for a specific name is that EWA may not know / associate the entity with the name. Also, Hypnos involvement is still an assumption and he may have nothing to do with any of this (I’m an O.G. Hypnos Truther)

I think the words we should look for are maybe "possession" or "hypnos" see if that has anything useful. Maybe "worms" or "parasites" if we're trying to figure out what the fuck is upstairs
