Glad to see it acknowledged that Arthur can't stop falling down holes lol I'm not sure what's the best way forward here, there could be something useful upstairs but at the same time something could follow them out. John is jumpy already, so I'm not sure how on point his intuition about the hole is

Lol at Arthur trying to use a hand he can't see AND he himself has admitted he can't feel since John took control. Nerve endings are important and he didn't feel shit when they bit off John's pinky. 😂 Loving the return to the original unease and horror this season. Bg sfx in these last 3 chapters have been awesome and so great at setting these scene along with John's way of describing things.

The animal brooch reminds me of the animal masks of the cult in ep 40. Wonder if they’re related? Esp bc at the time no explanation was given for the difference in masks different members had, it felt like something was being set up that hasn’t paid off yet. Also the masks at the time weren’t just animal masks, they were like paintings of animals doing stuff (Arthur’s was of a bull with hands over a fire). Umm I wonder if we’re going to have a glimpse of how the cult started out, and the gods they dealt with, this season. Was Larson alive at this point? Idk. But the painting of the god(s?) of the cult was scary so I feel like it might pop up (scary to me equals relevant). I wonder if the god(s) will be aware of Arthur’s future ‘offer’ to them. In which case they might forcefully take what was offered, even if it hasn’t been taken in the future. I rly hope that doesn’t happen though. The fact that nothing was sacrificed was actually an unexpectedrelief, and really satisfying. Also…it sort of feels like there were ‘more’ gods in these early ages, involved with/tormenting humans.
