Hello All!

I'm obsessed and dying to watch the next one!! I do think I really need to stick with less shows so that I can watch more of the same ones - I may finish them quicker here on patreon BUT at least I can get stuck into them easier without being torn away to a different show to meet scheduling. Anyways, this episode was brilliant! Seeing Nick as Renard was amazing, so well done & having Diana be the one to resolve the issue of being stuck in another body - I AM TERRIFIED that she will hurt Nick thinking he is coming in between her Mum and Dad!

Hope you enjoy the reaction folks. Have a lovely week everyone! Thank you for the constant love & support!

Much love

Dakara x

Fun fact: This was David's (Nick's) first directoral role and so he definitely did not have that much screen time in this episode as he was behind the scenes. But it give us more Renard time and I always enjoy him play the other characters, always so good and funny. I love all the episodes in this season but there are a few standouts and this is one of them. . Loved the reaction as always.

The only thing I didn't understand was how Lt. Grossante got into the guy's apartment, he just sort of appeared. I kept thinking about it and had to go back a few times because I had missed dialogue in later scenes. Anyway, I bring it up because I had just seen the actor, Chris McKeena, in an episode of NCIS a few months earlier. I also learned that he was in s3e03 of Lucifer in the episode "Mr. and Mrs. Mazikeen Smith" the same year he appeared in Grimm. The scene between Monroe and Adalind was so funny and they made a great duo. It really reminded me of some of my favorite movies from the early '30s like Nick and Nora in the Thin Man series of films or Godfrey and Irene in My Man Godfrey. Anyway, so what's with them changing characters' Woged looks? That's not a continuity error, that's a deliberate move. I really don't like when shows do that type of thing as these were pretty much the same for five seasons. If they had made any changes during those years they were so subtle that I didn't notice. Honestly, that's my only quibble as we both agree that this season is the best one so far. When Juliette grabbed Nick's hand we both had the same thought Dak: Juliette still loves him. I wonder if the stick's effect will have Nick rethinking his relationship with Adalind. I feel bad for saying it, but I hope not. "You're not my Daddy!" uh-oh... Thanks Dak! Crazy coincidence: I rewatched s15e08 of Supernatural right after Grimm and Eileen had the exact same hunting knife that my grandfather had since the '50s and that I've had since my grandparents passed away.

I also was having a real hard time with Renard's seeming 180 personality shift. I had never fully trusted him, but it did seem like he was generally on the right path and didn't want to have anything to do with the Royal family or getting "power". I needed more of a justification about why he chose to jump right into Black Claw and work with them. It didn't make sense to me. I didn't see how it came about, and that's what I needed. I needed to see how he came to that decision. They did have all of last season to show us too. Maybe they thought they did, but it didn't work for me. I'm thinking that they just ran out of ideas with how to make Renard interesting and thought he had gotten too bland, so his story didn't get much attention. And they decided to fix that by making him a super bad guy this season. This show is great with the characters, but not in this case. In my opinion. Otherwise, the show has gotten really interesting.
