Hello All!

Such a fun episode! I love the fact that Saffron returned and more so that our crew got pay back! Plus we get to see Mal's cute tush hahaha, I'm a simple gal, what can I say... Seeing Zoe get to punch Saffron and Inara holding that gun to her felt good too, don't mess with our girls!

Hope you enjoy the reaction folks. Have a lovely week everyone! Thank you for the constant love & support!

Much love

Dakara x

Perfect Theme Song. Great Reaction. And A MIGHTY FINE BACKSIDE!

Wreath

Great reaction

My take on it is that the first scene with Mal and Inara was genuine, mainly because YoSaffBridge wouldn't have been able to hear any of it since she was still in a crate in the hold, and having her overhear that would have been the only reason to make it part of the plan. Mal wasn't sure how to bring up the fact he brought YoSaffBridge onto Serenity and gave him the idea/plan that they came up with. I could probably be convinced otherwise though, but that's how I read it.

Brian Harrington

This is also my head-cannon. I think the spat with Inara got him in a “Petty?? OH I’LL SHOW YOU PETTY” mood, and he left her shuttle to go start planning with Zoe. Once they had the rough draft, they worked it out with the rest of the crew and THEN let her out and I’m like damn, hope you poked some air holes in that crate.

Jack

(This is just a joke - I love this episode).

DakaraJayne

I was gonna make a joke about Saffron being in the trash but then I worried you actually thought the ep was bad hah

Preaching to the Horse's Mouth

I have a theory that, because she objected to it so strongly and without being asked, that her name is in fact Yolanda.

Thom Purdy

Fun Fact: While filming that last scene, Nathan Fillion had a Head Shot of Joss Whedon taped over his privates, which is why everybody else was trying not to look and crack up.

Robert

Saffron, or whatever her name really is, was probably thrown out of the companion guild. She shows the same kind of skills that Inara has, but none of the moral or ethical traits. Pity that we'll never get to know. River would have picked up on Jaynes behavior and seen it as guilt for what he did in the hospital. Simon, as a doctor, would be bound by his oath to do no harm to anyone under his care, but he would rightfully take his revenge if the opportunity presented itself, at least Jayne needed to think that he would. You can see the beginning of a new found sort of respect that Jayne has for the "doc". Jayne would also have believed River when she said that she could kill him with her brain. Mal would most likely have had the beginnings of an idea when he was talking to Inara, but she would have helped him to flesh it out.

Eric Hunter

It seems clear to me that Mal and Inara were fighting initially, but then they decided to use the spat to put one over on Yo-Saff-Bridge. Mal knew that Yo-Saff-Bridge would steal his gun, and drop him in the middle of nowhere, but that was perfect because it gave Inara the opportunity to get to the bin and grab the Lassiter before Yo-Saff-Bridge got there.

i mean, serenity is only 20 minutes longer than the pilot, so theoretically it's not much different than reacting that that lol

Brian Dworak

I mean, I'll send £50 to Dak if she reacts to Serenity. As you said, it's only about 20 minutes longer than episode one. And of course Dak would poo-poo that offer because she's a good person and loves her patrons. 🤞🏼😥 The offer stands.

Josee (Griffe)

Simon got his revenge on Jayne, making what he was saying sounds threatening. But he quickly let the pettiness go and went back to his oat has a doctor. So to me, the revenge was real but not the threat. It was make believe. Just like all the rest of the episode.

Julian Welton

I know movie reactions aren't really your thing but I hope you decide to react to Serenity because it is the conclusion to the Firefly story and it wouldn't feel right to end without it.

Ian

Fantastic episode 🔥 no time to dilly dally onto episode 12 🙂
