Hello All!

Olivia was tested on as a child?!!! She may have gifts because of this?? I cannae believe it! Jones seems to have an attachment to Olivia, I need to know more!! They also brought up multiverses again and I'm beyond excited for the possibilities this opens up! It could mean our loveable characters could have different versions of themselves and our actors can enjoy portraying them! I vote for a room full of Peter's at some point plz and thank you hahaha.

Truly hope you enjoy the reaction folks. Have a fab week everyone! Thank you for the constant love & support!

Much love

Dakara x

i just checked patreon on a whim to see if you had uploaded since you're 6 hours ahead of me and saw this. i haven't slept yet but here i go, unable to resist being THIS early. it's 9am

lol so you got distracted actually reading the lines of ZFT walter was reading at the end and so missed that he was focused on words with a distinctive raised 'y', just like walter's typewriter. based on his face and his hesitance, he seems worried that he wrote it and doesn't remember. another possible sin of his past

DB

I admit I was waiting for this one. It's such a game changer! So many new elements: ZTF manifesto and all it talks about, cortexiphan and Olivia's potential, David Robert Jones, the typewriter and the raised "y"... Olivia is so professional. I'd be on the way to a bar the second Peter suggested drinks lol ETA: I gotta say this - I know Jones is a villain. He literally murdered someone with his bare hands and threatened to kill countless innocent people here. And yet I think agent Harris is the worst. Sorry not sorry.

DB

Should we point it out? I know it's not a spoiler since it's literally in the episode but I feel like maybe she would've noticed it herself while editing or later on.

Hi Dakara, i recently subscribed and have been catching up to your Fringe reactions and i i have been really enjoying both your reactions and the discussions at the end of the episodes, you are very insightful and creative in your theories for the show, i can tell you've been watching tv for a long time XD. I wanted to start writing comments under this episode in particular because this one is kind of the start of the macro mythology of the whole show with the introduction of the drug trials, the manifesto and the supposed ''powers'' that Olivia has not to mention the continued mentions of alternate universes and so i wanted to make this the starting point of all my comments on the show, this truly is a fantastic episode across the board and Jones is such a good character, every time he appears he just brings a different energy to the show and the actor is amazing, i won't go too much into details on the things mentioned in the episode because i really don't want to spoil anything but i will say that your analysis so far have been very well constructed and you're for sure picking up what the writers have put down so far. Like someone else mentioned in the last scene with Walter there is a detail that you missed in regards to the manuscript but you probably caught it while editing the episode, if not i would go back and rewatch at least that scene. Also i have to say that i find myself grinning from ear to ear every time you mention Peter and Olivia because as a major shipper of them myself i have to warn you that as much as i love them their journey throught the show is.........a lot (i'll leave it at that for now XD). Anyway thank you for the great reaction and i can't wait for you to delve deeper into this wonderful show and let me tell you, you ain't seen nothin yet. P.S. I don't know if someone else in the comment has already mentioned it and if they have you can disregard this part but there is an episode of season 1 that was cut while this season was airing and actually aired as episode 11 of season 2 called ''Unearthed'' and it doesn't actually have anything to do with season 2 at all (because it was filmed for season 1) and usually creates a lot of confusion in some reactors when they reach it because suddenly you get an episode that is completely out of place in the storyline so some reactors have actually started watching it during their season 1 reactions, i just wanted to mention it and then you can decide for yourself what to do with it, imo watching in season 2 doesn't really make sense because like i said before it really doesn't fit at all in the season so when i do my rewatches i tend to watch it after episode 14 but before episode 19 of season 1 somewhere in the middle there because i think that's where it fits best in the show's timeline, but that's just my opinion and if you want to you can absolutely watch it in season 2 when you reach it cronologically (in terms of episode number at least not in terms of the show's timeline), it's not a particularly relevant episode in terms of the major plot (and also in terms of quality imo) so you can decide when to watch it without too much changing in your viewing experience.

This is the sort of thing that I don’t consider a spoiler, since it was in the ep, but is the kind of thing I sometimes hesitate to say in case others feel it’s spoilery. I’ll be interested to see the verdict so I can inform future me!

Dakara you have no idea, lol, (or maybe you do) how much anxiety the Fringe fanbase felt back in the day at the end of each season. The show never had great ratings they had adequate ratings, which means just enough to keep them on the air. They could never get a consistent night for airing (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday). I remember going onto fan boards and begging people to just "give it a try" lol, not many people listened. Anyway there must have been someone at the network that liked the show and kept renewing it, thank god. I remember wishing the show could somehow get on the CW network like Supernatural where the ratings wouldn't be as big of an issue. The truth is all I really wanted was for the writers and creative people of this show to get a chance to tell their story from beginning to end and I think when all is said and done, that's what they got. And now here i am all these years later with a chance to kick back on Thursdays and watch Fringe again with a friend (that would be YOU) and watch your face light up just like mine did for this amazing show. Times are good.

Was a bit surprised that you didn't recognise Jared Harris (Jones) when he rocked up on The Expanse this week!

I'm woefully behind on watching your Fringe reactions - drat real life - but I stopped by to mention that I just found out that apparently Joshua Jackson, who you seem to enjoy, has a new show. I saw an advertisement for Doctor Odyssey the other day, and immediately thought of you. Apparently he plays a doctor on a fancypants cruise ship, so something a world away from Fringe that might be a good laugh kind of show when the world is too much, since it looks like a dramedy. Looking forward to catching up to where you are with Fringe soon!

I know I'm an episode late, but I'm going to say this because it's a prediction of mine since I haven't seen the show. I'm watching it for the first time with you. I think Walter realized the type face was the same as his typewriter and he wrote the manuscript and has forgotten about doing it. It kind of feels to me like the show is making reference to how Ted Kaczinski wrote a manifesto about the how technology was destroying the world and became so radicalized that he became the Unabomber. In case you didn't know, his typewriter was partially how he was proven to be the one writing the labels of on the bombs and matched his manifesto typeface.

This is an excellent episode. I'm really enjoying watching these though your eyes
