Hello All!

It feels great to see a lot more of Peter again, it also reminds me of the pain they're all in - especially him! For Peter to have all of the memories and no one to remember them with has to hurt. The way Olivia spotted that they must have been more to each other and how he responds so softly asdfghjkl, I cant!! Let's hope they figure out a way to resolve this!! PLEASE!

Much love

Dakara x

This is the first (and possibly only) S4 episode I actually remember. I just love it so much. I think it's stronger than White Tulip (I know it's a fan favourite but I prefer this one). It definitely hit me harder. Isn't it so desperately human, our need for more time? As if such a thing as enough time with a loved one even existed. Peter's perfect day is so beautifully banal. Just Walter, Olivia and him wearing a wedding band. Excuse me while I cry a bit over this detail.

Damn this episode is as good as i remembered it, just a masterclass in the use of parallels between the case of the week and the main storyline, the two actors that played husband and wife (which if i’m not remembering wrong are actually married in real life too) really brought their A game, i’m a sucker for all stuff that involves time travel and time jumps where people try to fix things using time in general and this episode is just a home run on that front. The angst in this season is so hard to go through but so so good, Peter facing the indifference/rejection of those closest to him is hearth breaking to watch but i think the payoff is worth it and i love that now Peter doesn’t immediately resort to running away like he usually did when he was younger but stays and tries to fix things, i just love seeing how much he has grown. In regards to Olivia’s standoffishness specifically in this episode i do think that she is mostly lying when she is saying that she feels nothing for him (ouch my heart 💔), i personally think that she is mostly just protecting herself because while we haven’t seen her dreams of him yet i’m sure that they impacted her in some ways but in this new timeline she is even more shut off when it comes to her feelings and so she puts the indifference shield up pretty quickly because she doesn’t understand what she is feeling when it comes to Peter, we’ll see… Loved how grumpy Walter is in this episode, he is trying so hard to not think about Peter in any way but fails miserably at every turn, “the cage was a good idea, he’s smart” 😭😭. That first dream scene always hits me hard because it’s clearly not a memory but more so a fantasy of the perfect day, i say that because Peter is wearing a wedding ring in that scene and unless he is remembering stuff from the future he saw in the machine (unlikely) i don’t think that scene actually happened and i love that in his happiest fantasy he and Olivia are married and are at the park with Walter, so lovely. I’d say that next episode is probably the last one of the “set up” episodes and after that the season really switches into higher gears and the main plot of the season starts to take form more clearly. Anyways great reaction as usual and thank you for shouting out my comment in the last reaction, i’m having a blast writing them and i’m glad you enjoyed them!

This is one of my favourite episodes in the entire series. I love time travel episodes and the idea of a time chamber is so cool. I also think the actors who play the married couple are incredible in their roles. Fringe conveys the power of love so well. Thank you for reading out my comment Dakara. I'm glad you've decided to take my advice re the watch order and I'm glad others agree with me here. I will try to remind you closer to the time!

I love time travel too. 12 Monkeys is one of my favorites. I would suggest that Dakara watch that too. The tv series not the movie.

Also I’m so glad she will watch 4-19 as the finale 👏

another great episode with a great reaction to go with it. heartbreaking case of the week, the actors were fantastic. wonderful character actors, the both of them. the case itself kinda of echoes the 4B episode with the old couple in different universes tearing a hole in the universes by missing each other. like christian's comment, i also think olivia might be lying about not feeling anything in her dreams and that she's protecting herself. she didn't actually answer peter's question, she just deflected with another question the observer names: i actually dont remember if they've addressed each other directly by name but they definitely show up in the subtitles. i feel like at this point, they have mentioned the names directly. august, september, i think the other one we've seen is july, and the oldest one is, fittingly, december

SaltyInternetPirate

August's name was mentioned in the episode where he was killed saving that girl. September's name is a spoiler that people weren't careful enough. Not that it will mean anything, but it's not revealed yet.
