Hello All!   

Drummer is a bad ass and is already up and about! Naiomi is finally face to face with Holden and the support is strong! Ashford is surprising me every episode and I got Anna and Amos scenes that I never knew I needed until this episode!! The end of everything is still very much present and the comparison to ants hit me hard! The Protomolecule isn't even the biggest threat????!!!

In the beginning of this episode they revealed why Clarissa(Melba) can perform those incredible feats of strength, but it was only a quick shot of the screen in the Roci medbay (around 01:54 of this reaction video). It showed that she has something called an "Endocrine Enhancement Implant". You can pause the video there and read the whole description of what it does. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but every time she has killed people (and when she smashed Ren's head in), she did the weird mouth clicking thing first. That must be how she activates the implant. She tried to do it again multiple times in the medbay, but it didn't work because of the chemical restraint they put on her while she was knocked out. As for the scene where she overhears Holden and Naomi, I think maybe she was realizing that Holden is not at all who she thought he was.

Oh yeah! Dak, since the subsequent seasons are still very much streaming on Amazon Prime, just thought I'd share that from next season, in the X Ray section, there's some really neat bonus content attached to each episode. In the cases of Seasons 4&5, there's an aftershow involving a few members of the cast, writers and showrunners, talking about every episode. The are also sometimes separate videos that deal with stuff like VFX breakdowns. Season 6's bonus content is what you really don't want to miss though. Every full episode, comes coupled with a short episode that's just few minutes long. Those are definitely reaction worthy in themselves, and contribute to the actual experience. Wouldn't mind those being included in your reactions. Even though we're still a while away from the end, couldn't hurt to make an early investment, right? 😉

I cancelled the prime ads when they removed it, didn't realise they still had the later seasons on there. I could go there just for the extras I guess

Thanks Dakara. Don't remember if I have already said it but I really like that you get straight into the episode and save the long commentary for afterwards. Love the hum-along - I've read that the theme is sung in Norwegian, but that it's all nonsense, so probably no point learning the words. You're spot on about Amos - he looks for guiding lights, and Anna is his latest one. I enjoy their interactions.

I think your humming along with the opening scene is lovely. Melba's teeth clicking thing is her trying to activate whatever implant give her the adrenaline boost that enhances her strength. I'm with you on the Anna, Amos pairing. She has something, like an inner serenity, that appeals to him. Whatever it is, it's obvious that he likes her. Drummer is alive and not happy. She rigged armor(?), to function as a pair of legs. When she gets back to the bridge, I think Ashford will happily turn over command, but she may look at all he's accomplished and let him keep on with the role. As for any thought of mutiny, she sacrificed herself to save him, Dawes wouldn't have, so Ashford will follow her now. Melba listening in on the talk between Holden and Naomi, now has a different picture of the man she thought she hated. She sees a man that will sacrifice himself for the greater good.

Regarding Bobbie's new teammates; remember the way Bobbie was back when we were first introduced to her. All piss and vinegar, looking down on everyone who wasn't Martian. She wanted to go to war with Earth so badly. It took a lot for her to change her mindset, like losing her whole team on Ganymede and learning that her own government had betrayed them. Her new team doesn't have that experience, they're still just as brainwashed and bigoted against non-Martians as she used to be.

An episode that has drummer in it is always a 10/10 and one with bobby also in it makes it an 11/10 🔥🔥🔥

By the way, a new The Expanse game was just announced, called The Expanse: Osiris Reborn. You should check out the trailer (no spoilers for the show, apart from showing the protomolecule, which you already know about). I think it looks pretty good!

Man, it always cracks me up when the Roci crew get to the Behemoth and Diogo makes Amos give up his weapon and then Diogo arrests Naomi for being a deserter and Amos just says, "Yeah, I'm gonna need that gun back." 🤣

Anna mentioned, when they got to the Behemoth, that Melba has an attachment on her arm that blocks the implants she has installed to give her that adrenaline boost and to not take it off. So, she doesn't really have any link to the protomolecule, except she's the daughter of the dude who bankrolled experimentation on it. Nothing is controlling her. It just appears she had a vendetta against Holden 'cause she got the wrong idea both about him being an arrogant asshole and that he's responsible for bringing her father down, probably simply because Jim happened to catch Jules-Pierre on Io, by chance. She's also probably been chasing her father's approval her whole life and putting him on a pedestal and defended him, no matter how poorly he'd treat her.

Amos has all that amazing chemistry so easily but I enjoy his facial expressions when someone impresses him! And yep, the Martians are so annoying!
