What I wouldn't give to settle a new planet like them... Starting fresh with nothing, camping at first, building a town, exploring the land, repairing generators and rovers and everything, maybe even playing with abandoned ancient alien tech too!!!! These people are living my dream life. 😍

The Amos Murtry dynamic is getting intresting.

Amos is right. Murtry is a killer. But a killer who loves the act. He doesn't kill because he likes it, he kills because he can kill. He's like Marvels Thanos. He's in love with the concept of death. Naomi is liking being on a real world. You can see it in the way she acts. She knows that pushing herself will break her body, but she won't stop. The way that the planet is reacting, is interesting. First the lightning, then a sort of digger(?). Not sure if there's a pattern, but the next one may have something to do with either fire, or water. Just a hunch. It's obvious that Christjen wants to step down from her position, but not until the future is set. Her opponent seems a bit to eager to rush headlong into the unknown. Also there's something about her jumping the line that doesn't sit well. Is it possible that she's dirty in a really bad way? Bobbi's story arc was perfect. Of course the crime lord would be a corrupt cop. Then telling her that there is room for someone with her talents. I fully agree with him that Mars needs people like her, but not in the way he might have been thinking. I could see her as a department head, or in the council chamber. Think of the good she would do.

Murtry is defending the slaughter of what... 23 of his people before they even stepped foot on the planet??? I agree he is bloodthirsty. But also justified. The locals slaughtered his people first. He is after revenge. Bobbie is one of if not my favorite characters... I need her in every episode. She is wasting life stripping ahips. I hope we see her doing more soon. Naomie.... Yep. I would do the same. I would push my body to death... Literally... To be able to live and work on a new planet... I haven't given up hope for her... Maybe it just takes a lot longer to adjust.

Most of the people on the Edward Israel(the ship that brought the earthers to New Terra/Ilus) were prospective colonists themselves in a sense. People of science. Murtry is the chief of security, who assumed command when everyone else of authority, on board the shuttle they'd come down in, died. I wouldn't be sure if there is too much to be in on, with regards to Murtry shooting Coop. Dr Okoye and her friend Dr. Sarkis, up in orbit on the Israel, are just scientists. They would've reacted with shock to anyone being killed. Speaking of Murtry, I'm not sure if you missed it Dak, but the group of belters who were shot, had actively planned to execute the earthers. I can't really say if Murtry gets a kick or a power trip outta killing people, maybe he does, but in that scenario he had overheard the belters plotting to storm their camp and shoot people. I'm so glad you have such strong feelings about Murtry and the whole dynamic between the two camps(well three with the Roci). Makes for such fascinating outro discussions. Shades of grey to protomolecule blue! They're the best. Thanks Dak!

I see Murtry as a little bloodthirsty but also justified. 23 of his people were slaughtered... ALL of them were supposed to be killed... Assumably. If I was him I would wanna know who tried to kill me also. Let's not forget... Just because some survived... Doesn't mean they were not meant to be killed...

Yeah it kinda looks like the landing pad was blown up, killing most of his people. Murtry understandably wants some answers and isn't likely gonna take very kindly to open threats. Did he need to shoot the man in the head? No. But taunting Murtry, when he knows what state of mind the man was in, wasn't the smartest move by Coop. The other instance though, didn't have as much emotion and impulse attached to it. Murtry and his team simply took out the belter group before they could carry out their own murderous intentions, on the earthers.

Agree with everything you said. The first belter TECHNICALLY threatened him.... Very loose death sentence. The group after though.... They were literally planning to kill them... That's what makes this so freekin good.... Like omg why did he do that... Next scene... Omg... He had to do that... It's a mix of grey and white area...

The warhead they fired at the "horn" wasn't a nuke, it was a conventional warhead. So, the explosion wasn't ever going to be HUGE. It was still pretty big, when you consider how big those horns are. It didn't swallow it, it just disappeared into the huge cloud of dust a second or so before it detonated. Holden just wanted to stop it from moving, which it appears to have, so MISSION ACCOMPLISHED...right?

Lucia's motivation is mainly desperation. She and her family were residents of Ganymede and lost their home there. They weren't allowed to settle anywhere else. Her group successfully evaded the blockade and got through the Ring to Ilus and now they have absolutely nowhere else to go. She definitely has tunnel vision about it and by refusing to even discuss options with her husband and daughter she is alienating herself from them.

Ah yes dak I miss drummer also but we did get Bobby and she's friggin brilliant too 🔥 gotta love Amos he's someone you don't wanna get on the wrong side of while at the same time being very amusing and a really funny guy. So you can't place the ahole and you're drinking from a game of thrones mug😀 u sure you can't place him 😄 . Didn't notice any difference in the sound so great job dak but even if I had it's not even an issue it's bloody roasting so do whatever you need to keep cool . If there was misstep that was committed by this series, I'd argue it was in the casting of Arjun 2.0. I don't envy the actor having to come in and fill in another actor's shoes, but having said that...this actor was just all kinds of wrong for the part. He played the character COMPLETELY different from the original and his acting chops are just...well... let's just say not on par with Shohreh. It was rather distracting all season and I found myself just hating the character. I guess given all the other BRILLIANT BRILLIANT decisions made during the entirety of the show's run, I'll allow one misstep. 🤣🤣
