Hello All!

What on EARTH am I seeing here?!! It's a no from me. I thought Betts was gonna be a vigilante, turns out, nope, he's just hungry and his Mum is all for his Cancer eating habits apparently. Strange concept but still an enjoyable episode.

Imagine this airing when it originally did. We had to wait WEEKS for the next episode. I was so mad! LOL I will say I didn't like how they added the very end clip. It would have been better if they had the coughing and blood in another episode. Like why did it take effect so quickly?

"I blinked, or winked?". Very cute response. There was some research into the idea that cancer cells could reproduce rapidly, and studying that mechanism might yield a new treatment, or even a cure. Unfortunately, it was a dead end. The idea that cancer can be smelled is not that far out. It's believed that animals like dogs and cats can sense it. Some medical instruments do show a rise in the concentration of certain pheromones that the body emits during cancer. Scully using the paddles on his brain would have "turned off" his being.

Back with a bang here with one of the creepiest scenes in the whole show is when Scully has Leonard's head just about to cut into him for autopsy and he opens his eyes. Mulder of course has no problems in believing a headless Leonard just walked out of the morgue. The female paramedic tells Mulder about Leonard's special power of being able to tell what illness a patient had, and of course Mulder believes that the type of cancer Leonard has is regenerative rather than destructive. A brutal scene when the regenerative Leonard kills Michelle, the female paramedic to protect his secret. Mulder works out that Leonard actually need to ingest cancerous tissue to regenerate. Totally gross, but also brilliant when Leonard's new head emerges from his mouth. Even though when they shoot at the car and it blows up, Mulder still believes he can come back and Scully is convinced he is now dead, however Mulder works out it is a trick and it was not his body in the car. The mother of course seems to be the key to finding him. When Scully knows he is in the ambulance it is a shocking scene when he says 'I'm sorry you've got something I need' which means Scully must have cancer, and then of course the closing scene of Scully getting the Walter White symptoms of coughing, and the blood on the pillow from her nose. I thought this was a brilliant episode which opens up a brilliant new plot line for the future.

Forgot to mention too Paul McCrane who played Leonard here was of course Dr Romano in E.R. one of the most popular TV Dramas of the 90s he was a major character in the show over many years.
