Hello All!

A military based episode about a soldier that can appear invisible to the human eye?! The government set them up to fail, they did keep a veteran safe but lives were lost. I'm still so confused over the order of the episodes here tbh but if dont take episode 14 into consideration then this is another decent XFiles ep.

Much love

Love your reactions. Welcome to the world of the X-File fan. A few episodes that lead to something important to the story, followed by a few episodes of filler. Not that it's bad filler, it's just frustrating. It breaks immersion and investment in a show that would otherwise be very good.

Back here with a decent solid single episode. Very similar to Sleepless episode with Tony Todd in S2, in that its focus is the events in the Vietnam War, and how it affected the men that fought in it. We also have Skinner again involved deeply here as has been said before his time during the Vietnam War has scarred him mentally and will never cease, and a great final scene with Skinner in D.C. staring at the thousands of names on the black granite wall of The Vietnam Veterans Memorial. A good tense episode with illusive vengeful Vietnam Vet being hunted. Again very similar to the Walk episode from S3 where the Gulf War Veteran seeks revenge on his Commanding Officers through Astral Projection. I thought of the three similar episodes this one was better than The Walk in S3 but not as good as Sleepless from S2, but a good episode in its own right.

People form a government to escape a "state of nature" defined by violent death. Therefore, if a state forces a young person into a war that guarantees their death, the state has arguably violated its core purpose—protecting the lives of its citizens.- Thomas Hobbes. This quote goes well with this episode of The X-Files. In this case, not only the dead but the forgotten POWs that, for a long time, the government ignored publicly. Incidentally, here in the States, all polygraphs are banned in Federal Courts, but some state courts allow them, with caveats.

Things get much better next week on an all new episode of The X-Files.

I quite liked this episode, But yeah, I think today, monster of the week episodes sandwiched between mythology episodes wouldn't pass with most people. But hey unlike shows these days which take 2-3 years between seasons which then just run for 8 episodes, thankfully we had 20+episode seasons. We knew we were in for a good time regardless. So don't lose hope Dak! Even better stuff is to come.
