This is such a strong opening to a season! I love how some of the mini story arcs in this show feel like a movie. It is also a testament to the writing and acting that show how much some of these characters have changed in the time on New Caprica. Could you have imagined a scene where Roslin and Zarek share a genuine smile? Getting excited that former cylon traitor Sharon "Athena" Agathon (good job Helo on making a honest woman out of her) is now an active Colonial pilot again? Or feeling sympathy for Ellen Tigh? There is a reason why this show endures and I think the characters are the biggest part of it.

Great reaction. A lot here to discuss. Let's start by saying the little girl "Kaycee" is just adorable! I don't buy her being Starbuck's though. The timeline is very suspect. Unless the Cylons did a little genetic manipulation. I'm still not sure why the Cylons are putting her through this. I understand that during an occupation, you do whatever you can to make the occupying force uncomfortable, but I draw the line at suicide bombing. There have to be better ways. The Cylons are over-reacting to the bombing incidents by cracking down harder. That will make a resistance stronger. Tom Zerek and Laura Rosalyn seeing eye to eye on a subject. There's a saying about politics making strange bedfellows of us all, I suppose that's true of occupations as well. Cliff hanger of an ending.

Athena was never a traitor, she always defended the humans and did you seriously congratulate a man for making her an “honest woman”?

Ok, let's address these points. First, before it goes any further, the "honest woman" remark was intended as a fun way to say they got married. Nothing else. No other commentary. Period, end of story. Please don't try to involve me in your hollow virtue signaling. Second, Athena was a cylon traitor. As in, she betrayed the cylons, her people. When we first see her on Caprica, she is working with other cylons to set up the circumstances to seduce Helo to see if that will allow her to get pregnant. Then she turns on the cylons to help Helo escape. I said "former" cylon traitor because for a while she was a prisoner, confined to her cell while giving information to Adama. But now she is fully accepted into the crew and a citizen of the colonies.

Historical note: The scene where the prisoners were allowed to stretch their legs is a direct call-back to the 1963 movie "The Great Escape" where the same exact thing happened (except the Cylons were machine guns). And the real world events that inspired that film actually happened, though it was multiple smaller groupsof prisoners rather than one big group.

True, I think I always immediately just consider her as part of the crew since the moment she chose them. The wording threw me off, she’s a traitor to Cylons not just a Cylon traitor. And though Adama fully trusts her, you can definitely tell that not everyone does, even now. Dee and Lee’s questioning his decision proves that. I just wished that Adama had shown her how much he trusted her, before needing her for a mission. I mean, she was still in that cell last episode. As for the “honest woman” questioning, I just hate that phrase. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Personally, I don’t completely blame Gaius or Ellen for their actions. Ellen was trying to protect Tigh because she loves him. It really sucked seeing her in the position she was in. With Gaius, he was under duress and if he didn’t sign it, they definitely would have killed him and just made someone else president that would have signed it.

No worries. And I do agree that she still has a challenge with acceptance from more of the crew. I guess I was thinking of it more from the audience perspective. Where we can see she is devoted to humanity and the Galactica and is getting a chance to prove that in a big way.

Quite the way to end it eh 😯 stretching their legs it's literally a repeat of the scene from the great escape . War man 😢 the cylons are on top and I don't like it one bit . Team Sharon remains strong she's the best 🔥 another good episode and wonderful reaction cheers dak 💫
