Hello All!

Season 5 is NOT messing around!! What an opening episode this was. It changes everything, especially with the Smoking Man! Seeing him channel his inner Dean Winchester with his single man tear had me SHOOK! Loved how they covered this episode with sharing scenes from the finale of S4 with a new twist and angle in this one. Fabulous!

Much love

Dakara x

We had to wait months for these two episodes back in the day. Redux is a brilliant lead in from S4 Finale. Just so much going on with all the strands of the last episode and this one linked together. Scully giving an acting masterclass in seemingly identifying Mulder's body, and the best scene thought was Kritschgau giving Mulder the potted history of all that's occurred against the backdrop of actual historical footage to giving fuel to 'The Lie'. Mulder almost getting to the 'Holy Grail' when he reaches Level 4 of the D.O.D. and when he discovers all the bodies of the apparent E.B.E.s, such great callbacks to the likes of The Erlenmeyer Flask, and then he sees even more. Of course once he enters the secret Pentagon underground repository he finds all the links. The Vial he cross referenced possibly contains the cure to Scully's illness, and of course Cancer Man knows he is there but lets him away, but for what reason. A brilliant lead into the brilliant Redux II, where we get some amazing reveals.

Yes, it's fabulous! ❤️

So good. I just loved the explanation that Mulder is being given, it's so believable. Jillian getting the chance to show off Scully's scientific knowledge was great! We don't see this often enough. Scully deserves to be in a lab doing cutting edge research! Skinner is likely to be on the right side of this, but has to play it as close to the vest as possible. The smoking man's relationship to Mulder is confusing at this point. It's clear that he admires him, and might respect him, but more than that would be wild speculation, at best. So the vial Mulder found was just de-ionized water? Not sure what that means, if it means anything.

You’re not a dumb-ass

The sus meter was high this episode. Can't remember the last time you frowned and squinted this much in scepticism to all the information being presented to you the first half of the episode. XD Also, I thought it was just Dean Winchester. But nope. Single man tears are Dakara's true weakness. If one from even the Smoking Man can devastate her, it's open season people!
