Rating - 10/10 - I think my eyes are permanently red after watching this show...THE TEARS JUST FLOOOOW! The scenes in this broke me as you will witness...the emotional levels in this show knows no bounds. Seeing Dean trying to say his goodbyes OUCH but Sam giving that honesty was what I live for. I enjoyed the Mary scenes too, Donna always a plus & finding out what Billie really said to Dean too. Wow this episode was just pure gold.

You're not dumb, nephilim are complicated.

Don't know if you knew or not, but, if you're ever interested or curious, not only is the recipe for Winchester Surprise available online, but there's also quite a few videos of SPN fans cooking it!

Dakara, if you have a snake for a tongue it is going to be moving around inside your mouth. Ugh I don’t know that I could handle that! 😬 Your bloopers at the beginning were hysterical 😂

Stacey

I know this season isnt everyone's favourite but I honestly love it and episodes like this remind me how much I love it, while Mary doesnt appear in this season as much I think this my favourite season out of the three she has been in since her return I think they have finally found a balance for her and I really enjoy it

Loved the episode. As soon as I saw him hug Sam before he left, I knew he was planning to do something to himself. When he hugged Donna, that got me. So I guess his plan was to just disappear and no one would know what happened to him? Nick has just gone off the deep end, what else can you say.

Your predictions throughout this episode were really great. You 100% figured out early on that Dean was going to construct his own version of the cage. This really is like a flipside to Sam sacrificing himself by jumping into the cage at the end of season five. Just a different way to seal up an archangel. I knew that final scene between Sam and Dean was going to bring tears. I agree the acting on both sides, and especially Jared, was superior. When he says that extra “me“ it always hits home how personally devastating this is for Sam.

Michele

I totally agree with your thoughts on this episode. It is really good - and so satisfying too. Not the part about Dean planning to encase himself in a metal coffin at the bottom of the ocean - but everything around it. I loved the special touch of him going to see Donna. I low key ship them. They'd make really good friends, IMO. Also glad with what we got with Mary in this episode. I'm still not much of a fan of Nick being around - it just bugs me that it shouldn't be possible - But, some of it has been interesting. Also annoying though. I can't help it. He annoys me. Nick is becoming just as whiney as Lucifer. pfft I think it's amazing that Dean has been able to keep Michael locked up in his head this long. I was hoping something like this would happen, but I didn't realize it would be so hard to maintain. Makes sense though. The acting! So good. Our boys really do a great job of selling the stories the writers are telling.

Michele

PS. I loved the bloopers at the beginning! And - I'd go for snake hair, because then I can just cut it and go bald.

Azraelov

omg Dakara, you almost killed me. In from work, sat down to eat my breakfast watching this episode. Then boom! those bloopers right at the start caught me completely off guard. bloody burst out laughing, breakfast all over my desk! haha I'm sorry though, I have to skip this would you rather... I DO NOT do snakes. EVER! lol You, m'lady are a treasure. and we are lucky to have you. Now excuse me while I go clean my desk :D

A lovely gal in my discord told me about the recipe! Love that it’s a thing people have tested out haha. I’ll have to check it out 👍😊

DakaraJayne

🤢🤮 it’s awful isn’t it BUT multiple on your head?! Yikes. It’s a lose lose isn’t it haha. Glad they made ya chuckle 🤭😂

DakaraJayne

It’s nice to see some loving scenes with Mary. A balance was needed wasn’t it, she’s a great character, just some decisions have been a little…questionable. I for one love her on my screen. I’m glad that the boys have their mum back.

DakaraJayne

Glad you enjoyed this ep :) oh saaaame. Such a painful way to go too! He’s loved by way too many to just disappear though! Nick is a lost cause.

Thanks for the shout-out, Dakara! I just now only have time to watch it and haven't finished it yet. Was surprised at the intro, have to stop and write this post first!

|| Snake for a tongue (tUng) ||😂 Loved this ep…loved seeing Mary again…I didn’t love Dean’s “Goodbye” to everyone. All his friends and family knew that something’s going on and tried to help him. Let’s talk about Nick for a sec…I kinda liked the idea of the survived vessel but now it’s getting really annoying. I really felt bad for him, I did but now I’m disgusted. I think it’s not only his fault, it’s also the influence of Lucifer. He was his vessel for years so ofc he’s traumatized but yeah anyways he got his revenge, killed Abraxas, he can rot in jail now. Dean finally telling Sam what he has to do…
