why is my face always like this?!!! DAMNIT THUMNAIL DOING ME DIRTY AGAIN!

Good Morning All,

The medium place was not what I was expecting haha. Enjoyed this ep a lot. Much packed into it. Mindy was interesting. Quite the character, The judge was brilliant and I relate to wrapping up in a cocoon haha. I'm a little surprised with the twist at the end of the ep making them decide themselves. Looking forward to watching this finale!

Thank you all so so much for watching, hope you all enjoy the video & I will look forward to reading your comments as always,

Have a lovely week everyone! Thank you for the constant love & support!

Much love

Dakara x

Mindy's case opens up some weird questions for the afterlife points system. She got the points (or at least some of them) for all the potential good her money did, despite dying before that could evolve beyond just an intention. Even if she'd not been electrocuted by the third rail, she still somehow earns enough points from that to counteract a lifetime of being a 'not great' person, but is that more or less points than the people who (presumably) would be paid to actually carry out the good acts? Really love this show for this sort of thing. A few lines from a character we just met is enough to kick off massive arguments on what even counts as a good act. P.S. Love the reactions :D

Love Mindy. The thing about her is she created something so good that it earned so much points and continues to put good into the world even after her death. which is why the good place wanted her even though she clearly belongs in the bad place. That one act have her enough to be in the good place That is why she is a medium person. Someone bad that did alot of good intentionally not for profit or selfish reasons. What i love about this show is you get to points where you are like but there are 4 seasons? This is one of them. Id liked to point out that jason did improve alittle. He did not have to say yes to going back but he did. Waiting eagerly for the finale next monday.

Christopher simeon

I would think a bad person doing good earns more then a good person just doing what they would normally do. Plus what she did put alot of good into the universe. Plus being the creator should give you the points theoretically even if you don't physically carry it out yourself. The debate on if the points are hers kept her out of the bad place so they must have done enough good to over ride her bad points or else the good place would not have a case.

Prisci

I love the contrast between how fast-paced this show is and how long they let Mindy silently reminisce about her coke. 😅 Their acting is also so good… So many stupid lines said with so much emotion I almost feel I also need a cocoon.

Prisci

If a bad person doing good earned more than a good person doing good, that would encourage intermittent goodness, which would be bad. Mindy went a little further than having the intention, she put some stuff on paper which was further developed by her sister but she didn’t just thought of it. The thing is if it wasn’t for that however small move, the biggest relief aid charity in the world wouldn’t be hers and that means a massive amount of good just wouldn’t have been. So as most things in life, it’s complicated.

Christopher simeon

What do you mean by intermittent goodness? Nobody knows about the point system until you die.

Ed Green

'Intermittent goodness' means being good sometimes and bad other times - if you can get away with doing both, what's to stop you from doing bad?

Christopher simeon

You will still go to the bad place for doing bad. My point is if a bad person does something really good it gives more points that does not mean they get to go to the good place. If they qualify as bad that means they were headed to the bad place. When they die. Like if a good person gives all their money away 100 points but if a bad person did it 105 points. But if they reach the good threshold the points go back to normal. If they are still doing bad then they will just drop right back down.

Ed Green

I don't agree that a bad person doing good would earn more points than a good person. Based on the points totals allotted to specific actions, such as we see on the screen of Eleanor's life history, each action earns a specific number of positive or negative points. What you've done before or after seems separate from each other action.

Prisci

You’re right, I don’t know wtf I was thinking. What you’re saying reminds me of the parable of the prodigal son but I don’t know what would be a philosophical justification for that, it doesn’t seem fair to me but I could be missing something.
