What a fantastic concept! I freakin love this idea and discovering how they explore it a little more each episode is so much fun! I didn't expect the episodes to go this way but it was hilarious to watch! I felt so much for the main characters now that I know what's actually happening!!! HAhaha. I feel now that I know Michael's plan it completely changes everything and how I am viewing the episodes! Brilliant!

Shawn is not actually the judge, just a bad place employee (and Michael’s boss). And he’s bad but the way he talks just makes me love him so much. 😅

Ok so this episode is hilarious because the curtain is fully pulled and we see how evil micheal truly is. Chidi's weakness is his indecision and his desire for the perfect soulmate. So micheal doesn't just give him two hard choices. That is too simple. He gives him a very easy choice and then makes chidi choose it then makes it unavailable to him so he always has the feeling of not being with the right person. Tahini weakness is all about being seen as nice, sophisticated and caring for others and micheal uses that to bring down her status (which is all she really cares about) Making her live in a small house with a less desirable soulmate while having to wear lesser clothing drove her crazy. Jason not being able to be himself is very hilarious and you can see it in his face how much he is hating it. Overall micheal did go to hard to fast. But hopefully all goes well in episode 3.

This was a really funny episode(s). I was surprised Eleanor figured it out so quickly though. I think Michael's problem is that he really doesn't understand humans enough and this new method of torture is too new for him, and likely hard for him to hold off on doing torture of some kind.

I remember when first watching, thinking to myself at the start; wow they aren't holding back to push the bad place vibe... or is it because we now know, makes it noticeable? (plus the addition of showing Michael briefing the demons) But then the reason for the "rush" reveal became apparent. Showing Michael not being completely straight with his boss. We're not too far from where I dropped out of the show for whatever reason. So plenty of firsts on the way for me. More importantly, once again, pineapple on pizza. A massive yes from me.

Since 1999, every time I hear the name "Denise", my brain instantly goes: "Phoebe: Well, that would be great, but then what do we do about Denise? Monica: Who's Denise? Phoebe: My roommate. I think a large part of us seeing it as too harsh now is that we do know it’s the bad place, as well as the fact that we now know the characters stories. We already know what their weaknesses are so we can more easily see when Michael is targeting them, where as before, we could only guess by their reactions and understand by the flashbacks. I can’t wait to continue watching your reactions to this show. It is truly something unique and one of my all time favourites. I can’t even count how many times I have watched it now.

Marc Evan Jackson (who played Shawn) also hosted "The Good Place: The Podcast" where he interviewed cast and crew members. It went through the series episode by episode and talked about a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff. I'm *pretty* sure they did it so there were no spoilers for episodes after the one they were discussing that week, but in case I'm mis-remembering you might want to wait until the end of season 2 if you want to give it a listen. It started between seasons 2 & 3 and I *know* they never spoiled episodes that hadn't aired yet.

For those of us who are disabled, Crocs are pretty much the only thing we can wear. So while I hated them for a long time, now that I have a disinegrating spine and bad hip, Crocs are what I can slip my feet into easily without having to bend over (which I can't really do anymore).<p></p> <p>I too love Hawaiian pizza. It's delicious!</p> I wonder if we'll have to start over & over again if this doesn't work again? And Vicki is a riot! Wanting a bigger 'part'. It's interesting seeing the other side of how the demons are working.
