S4E1 encapsulates the show. "Let me tell ya' something: When it's dark, and I'm all alone, and I'm scared, or freaked out or whatever, I always think, 'What would Buffy do?' You're my hero."

I was also struggling to find a best comedic moment in season 7 and then I remembered Andrew's "recap" and "introduction" of everyone in Buffy, Slayer of the Vampyres... (S7E16) Season 7 was so heavy that I almost forgot this to be honest but it was so refreshing and fun to see the humour in Buffy again... And I agree wholeheartedly about 7x20...the Spuffy scene brings out all the feels even after 20 years of rewatch...so perfectly written, acted, edited,... just perfect. I'm so glad I was here for your discovery of Buffy and can't wait for the rest of your journey !

I love how the villains progressively become more human as each season passes. The master was the oldest and closest to pure demon that his human face was gone. Angel had a soul the only part of humanity he had left. The major was human most of the season but also still had humanity when he turned full demon. (Caring for faith) Adam was half demon half human. Glory was Ben most of the time then started to come out more and become more human emotionally. Willow season 6 is human and so is Warren. Season 7 the first represents the evil in all humans that is always there or.

Nice wrap up for the season (and the show)! Season 7 isn't my favourite but fair play to those who love it, I genuinely wish I enjoyed it more than what I do. Credit where it's due, one thing it does get right is Andrew. The writers do a good job of making you care about him and I think he arguably has the best character arc of the season. Who would have thought? If you're looking for your Buffy fix there's still the movie, the unaired pilot, the movie, the animated series teaser or the movie to react to!

those tarot card pulls were wild n a little freaky! 😮

I greatly appreciated the final episodes reactions and this video concluding the season. Like yourself, the departure of Buffy has left a lasting impact on many of us to this day. It would be a delight to witness Sarah reprising her iconic role, even if only for a limited series. The anticipation surrounding the series finale was palpable for me as well, yet I was ultimately pleased to see the essence of Buffy perfectly captured in the ending. Throughout the series, while my affections for various characters fluctuated, my admiration for Buffy herself as my favorite, much like you articulated, remained steadfast. She continues to serve as an inspiration, embodying a model of conduct—what would Buffy do?—in numerous situations. I am particularly struck by her magnanimity towards her friends, do what was needed and choosing forgiveness over retribution, epitomizing the strength and true spirit of Buffy. The series stands as one of the most enduring pieces of television, unparalleled in its rewatchability. While it may be surpassed as new series build upon and refine the narrative and structural excellence Buffy demonstrated, it remains a seminal work—not merely adolescent entertainment, but a profound exploration of life, enshrouded in darkness, wit, and valor. Subsequent viewings have only reinforced my appreciation for the meticulous craftsmanship of the writing, with each element contributing to a cohesive and authentic narrative universe. As you contemplate revisiting the series, a re-analysis of the entire saga could offer fresh insights, particularly for those feeling a void without Buffy or its content. Watching the series with the knowledge of its trajectory unveils a different narrative, replete with foreshadowing and intricate details that prelude future developments. This aspect adds a rich layer to the viewing experience. Buffy holds the distinction of being the first television series I purchased and shared with my circle, witnessing its profound and positive influence on numerous lives. It's heartening to see individuals like yourself perpetuating this legacy by sharing your journey with the series. Before Buffy, my only rewatch experiences were with the original Bionic Woman and Six Million Dollar Man, series firmly rooted in their time yet notable for introducing a female hero who, along with the creative team, championed kindness and compassion with exciting action. This pioneering show also inspired Joss Whedon in the creation of Buffy. There are a few other shows and movies that celebrate a strong female role, without cheeky sexist remarks. One movie you might like if you haven't seen it is, "The Long Kiss Goodnight." It is my favorite movie of all time, or least it is the one I always think of first. The TV Show, "Alias," is also fun and full of emotion and great characters. When I first found your channel, your affinity for Supernatural piqued my interest, leading me to anticipate your exploration of Buffy. I wondered if you would shift to Buffy becoming a favorite. I look forward to watching your Supernatural reactions. I eagerly anticipate accompanying you through Angel and other notable media ventures. Your unique insights, including your affectionate reference to 'Buffah,' is already missed. PS I always used 'Bike' to refer to Buffy and Spike (their relationship was a great ride). ;)

On a positive note, now that you've completed the show, you can watch some fantastic Buffy, SG and Spuffy (er, Spike/Buffy) YouTube edits! Some of my faves: BtVS I Lived: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHN7mShJFP0&list=PLg9btDwmrv1DeVkaVK77-WdkCP4x-adeq&index=43 Spike and Buffy/The Story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2LuG6kKaTI&list=PLg9btDwmrv1DeVkaVK77-WdkCP4x-adeq&index=36 The Dance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixR6Gi4J--k&list=PLg9btDwmrv1DeVkaVK77-WdkCP4x-adeq&index=39 Also, please watch some of The Passion of the Nerd Buffy YT videos. They are in-depth synopses of each episode with lots of insight into the meaning and themes within the overall show. They are beautifully edited and I think will really enhance your rewatch experience. Unfortunately he has not yet completed the whole series, I believe his edits only go up to the middle of season 5. If you want to check out some reactors, I highly recommend Liam Duke and SoFie Reacts (very sensitive and thoughtful) and The LexiCrowd (thoughtful, passionate but also very funny). I recommend not listening to the Slayerverse podcast until after you finish Angel S5. Thank you for sharing your journey with us, Dakara! You are so thoughtful and are a joy to watch.

Dakara I've loved your journey with Buffy - the best reactor to this series I've watched by a mile!

I just want to say it's perfectly normal to feel upset and strange after finishing a show like this. You lived with it and with these characters for years. You connected with them and their lives. There's a certain amount of grief at seeing it end. It's the same for me and many others and probably why so many people like to watch new people react to the show so it can continue to live on and we can re-experience it with new people. Your reaction has kept Buffy alive for so many of us and we appreciate you for it. I wondered if you have seen the original Charmed? It was on at the same time as Buffy, so it's another old favorite people connect to that you might enjoy if you haven't seen it already. The reboot is also an option, though not as popular. Another recommendation I have that isn't necessarily supernatural, but is a great show, is Yellowjackets. It's still an ongoing show and there's two seasons so far, but it's a really good show.

My favorite comedic moment from season 7 is Andrew tapping the drawing of the Hellmouth on his whiteboard and nodding knowingly in a very brief cutaway in "Storyteller." Anyway, it feels good to watch someone enjoy something as much as you have enjoyed Buffy. And it deserved a good wrap-up. 👌🏻

Restless Tome

Xander had some of the best speeches in the show.
