The quick plan for this week is... to try and have a week off!

The short would come out on Wednesday, but that's Christmas day so although Modern Armour Pen won this week's poll, we'll blow a tank up next week.

YT will be getting the Basics: Surrender video, while I've already got something cooked up for you guys on Friday, so we're all covered.

In the meantime, the names for Adopt a Pixeltruppen continue to pour in- I'm seriously thinking about putting together a follow-up game to use up the hundreds of people who don't get in. But we'll see.

And that's about it! Merry Christmas, I'll catch you all in about a week!

Thanks very much! I doubt I'll last a week without doing some work, but I'll give it a go.

For a follow up game idea: why not try it in either SF2 or Black Sea to see how things would change after a few decades. Or Red Thunder, but that might be harder.

You're the best you put one of those deliciously cool Soviet army nomograms. Learn how to make them I mean from the mathematics of it I might need a refresher in algebra but I want to make those of my own it's a dying art i've found resources on it in deep corners of the Internet on old web pages by enthusiasts. I would say that NATO saw war as an art, with all those dissimilar nations Of the art- Loving militarily reluctant Nato countries. And the Soviets On the other hand turned war into a science.

I do like a good nomogram. They just kinda suffer from a 'tactical deficit' sometimes: if you go in and your nomograms don't match reality, you've got a problem

Yep. The map should be easily convertable, the tricky part will be adjusting for the timeframe. Especially for WW2 where everyone is generally less mobile.

I like the ones that Calculate how much artillery is Required to suppress a given size target. Other ones I saw for calculating how long it takes for a unit to pass a certain point, for traffic management, seem much more iffy because it requires the vehicles to be constantly moving a specific distance apart, and with hundreds of vehicles driven by conscripts of varying ability , things will go wrong and quickly.
