Der Amis are winning it seems. It's all over man...

By this point I don't think withdrawal is possible as once the Americans are able to reconstitute and try to concentrate even more combat power. Withdrawing would also invite interdiction by enemy airpower

At this point in the war, most German military were hoping to surrender to the wallies, rather than the Soviets. Given this is an engagement with the wallies, then I'd assume that the Germans would pull back and try to negotiate a surrender if their command/logistic structure was sufficiently degraded. And, yes, Ic blew it, I'm sorry to say. Pershings, and even Jumbos, are another kettle of fish from Easy Eights(and Fireflies). On the other hand, given the intent of the scenario, the objective was(?) actually accomplished, and the verdict is out. Do not engage Pershings head on, unless in a King Tiger or Jagdpanther. The Jumbos were impressive as well. A lot more robust than any other Sherman. But I agree, blame it on the Luftwaffe.

I lasted as a lone recon troop until turn 47. Did the recon job but never had a chance to survive. Probably realistic. Overall game tactical choices, with the wisdom of "Monday morning" were unfortunate. Usually Hapless applies (unusual as the UH tactics are normally first rate). Loved the participation feature. Hope to do more in the future.
