What an INCREDIBLE start to the season!!!

I loved it and yk what I liked s2 too. So I feel vindicated!!! I feel like a lot of people had given up, but when I rewatched 2 I enjoyed all the episodes other than the slow pacing. It's not all perfect but imo the main issue is that there's not enough episodes left for the story, rather than an inherently 'bad' or straight 'butchered' plot I see referred to a lot (mostly, I still hope we get a more morally dubious Rhaenyra later on). I also liked scheming Alicent this episode, but at what cost </3 YIKES

I really think Aemond kissing Alicent was also him trying to manipulate, or psychologically disarm her. A message that even she's not safe from his debauchery and violence.

I’m finding the whole “toxic yuri” and “her bff” talk to be really diminishing to the women characters on the show. These are rich interesting characters who deserve to not be scoffed at. There is more to this show than Aemond, Daemon and the Strong guy.

After a rewatch (ok 3 or 5 watches) i could appreciate season 2 more but I'm still very concerned about certain things they're changing and the linger term ramifications. Not as hopeful as these lads down under but definitely looking forward to the rest of the season 🍻

Believe or not a character being attracted to women does nothing to diminish their character. It’s the commentators acting like that’s stupid that diminishes them.
