I think it would have been interesting if Alicent arrived before Rhaenyra killed Otto! And given her a second to look at them both, would she be conflicted on some level to see him face justice? She conceded to Rhaenyra killing Aegon, Otto is the one that put the whole thing in motion but is still her father; would she have tried & failed to stop her? Would Otto have acted differently seeing Alicent? I do wonder if there were other plans for Otto, he was travelling somewhere in that cart at the end of s2 and it seemed he died quite suddenly. Maybe I'm biased bc I like Rhys Ifans tho

Why tf was Alicent wearing a beautiful expensive bright blue coat during her incognito escape lmaooooo

Kelly Theobald

I struggled with s2 so much, but I am loving s3! Every scene has been amazing! I love when Daemon is a good husband lol. I like how he was able to turn Rhaenyra around, and their march to the throne room, though *slightly* corny, was amazing 😂 My only complaints: is it not weird that Aemond was injured so easily? That was pretty lame to me. Also I don’t understand why Alicent tried to flee with Helena solo. It seemed really poorly planned. I had assumed she’d stay in the Red Keep and have Rhaenyra officially pardon her or something

Nick Montana

Lmao I was also like "bruh they look so out of place"

this was such a good episode. felt like early GOT 🥲

Love how the Strongs are always in the middle of dinner when dragons arrive to seize the castle

I don't know anything about how mediaeval armour works. But I'm willing to believe that if you swordfight a whole castle-full of people on your own, you might get stabbed! So the Aemond scene worked for me. But yeah, Alicent and Helaena... Their plan seemed dumb. Were they planning on walking out of the city alone? To go where?? Why not take Dreamfyre???

Kelly Theobald

True, true. I guess I’m surprised Aemond got taken down so easily. Like, did he just turn his back on the third guy or forget he was there? Or maybe that shows his arrogance?? Idk, but it still felt a little lame to me 😅 Yeah, Alicent and Helaena didn’t seem to be carrying money or belongings. Not even leaving in a discreet carriage. And yeah…Dreamfyre!

Just finishing listening to this dragontime I'm glad you guys thought so 🫡

Jessica Marsano

I look forward to this every week. Thank you for your efforts and charm.

I think shifty has the wrong read on the handhold, I really don’t see that as a jealousy moment at all

Charlie

Maybe I’m being sensitive because I quite like this season so far but some of these nits being picked feel particularly small

Charlie

Alicent not mentioning Dreamfyre is not one of those small ones though. Alicent has been painted as so intelligent for her to just forget about a dragon in frustrating
