i personally rellay liked this series as a premise, the back and fourth of points in time that you dont really know where in time it is, showing a character that we dont know as kumoko yet and sheas on what looks like the evil side, its pretty cool, too bad the adaptation did not do it justice

Maybe, probably not though. I think Alicia does a wheelspin on stream and whatever it lands on she will watch that day, but there's so much that's on the wheel and people pay to put stuff on there the likely hood that Parasyte and Re:Zero gets finished is extremely low.

Febuary-June 2023 for 1-11. March 2024 for 12-13.. Now July 2025 for 14-16... Aside from wondering how much is remembered, Im guessing the series will be finished around 2028 lol

Part of it was Millipense isn’t a great studio, part of it was this was in the height of COVID and they got so screwed over by studios they subcontracted to (every studio does this on nearly every series - pay attention to end credits sometime), and some of it was so bad that they had to reanimate entire scenes from scratch with the clock running out on them.

The light novel series is great. I just need to read the final volume sometime, something I’ve been putting off for years because I don’t want it to be over.

Great to see this return! You're almost at the point where I felt it hit it's stride, so I'm excited~ Yeah, valid feelings about the "Hero" side of the story. I think I might have mentioned this a long time ago, but in the original web novel/ light novel the hero story portions where relegated to a single "Extra" chapter at the end of each book, and I found it so boring I pretty much skipped them everytime. Which lead to some surprises later on, but I digress, yeah they really suck the life out of the series for a long time whenever they show up lol

Thank you for continuing this series. This is one of my top two favorite mangas, enough that I read the light novel too, and while the anime adaptation made some creative decisions that I don't like the cute animations for Shiro and the animated fight scenes make up for it. I was so sad when you dropped this series, as it is so much fun.

First, I feel like they missed something incredibly important in the last episode by cutting off the after credits scene early. Second, 2+ years ago I said something along the lines of “talk all the shit about Fei that you want and I’ll agree with you; but she owns her karmic retribution…”, and since then she’s just been redeeming herself time and again, especially when she rescued Schlain and his party when everything turned. Which was why I was extremely happy for her when, upon her final evolution, it came with a humanoid form. She really took the whole “be better” line to heart and was in the end rewarded with the ability to be somewhat human again.

What bums me out sod hard, I love this series so much, the books were a fun read. However, due to the production problems and resulting quality mess ups, the series will likely never see a second season. My favorite Twist in the whole story will likely never get animated. Now, I'm just waiting on Alicia to continue Apothecary Diaries, and hopefully no one will spoil anything for her this time.

"Go back to the Spider!" I'm so. So glad other people feel that way. Like I could not give a single fuck about the B Plot for 90% of this series. It was like, how do you only make 50% of your story interesting and engaging LMAO

So the BIG reason why it feels so disjointed and unappealing is ALL of the B plot took place as it's own volume AFTER all of the spider plot was set up, with a strange time skip and then going through the b-plot as the only story until it wraps back into the A plot. The way they decided to cut the B plot INTO the A plot for this series was frustrating because there is a 15 year difference but the show wants you to feel like it's happening simultaneously for... reasons, mostly cause the studio wasn't confidant people would watch it purely for the Spider Shonen anime half, so forced the humans into the story in hopes it would keep people invested. Reminder So I'm a Spider So What originally gained popularity the same time as Slime Isekai too so people were ALREADy hype to just watch a monster character progress through anime rpg power leveling!

I can't speak for the Web Novel version as I never read that, nor for the manga version, but in the Light Novel version this whole cutting between Spider and Human does still happen, it's just a bit clearer about the timeline (Though, there are some other details that aren't exactly the same from LN to anime). Everything that happens in the anime is within the first 5-6 volumes of the Light Novel (Out of 16). I am currently actively reading the Light Novel and on Volume 13.

I find it weird that so many people seem to simply hate the human side of the story. I'll admit I like the spider side more, but the human part was good too. Maybe I'm just easily entertained or something along those lines. I really don't get the hate.

I was just watching her older reactions as i never saw them before, and I was so frustated by this 15 years in past thing because i have read manga and remembered this never happened in there and was like was like why are they adding extra stuff thats not in mange... so you are saying that still happens in manga but a lot later? I dont remember the details and i havn't watched this episodes reaction yet, in last reaction episodes, they kept adding stuff that hinted that demon queen is our spider but i am sure that never happened, and is inaccurate too, they both are completely different characters... I feel like they ruined this anime by chaning way too much and changing the core things

Personally its less that I hate the human side of the story (I think the dual timeline/plotline dynamic as a whole is actually very clever), its just that none of those characters have the kind of energy and life on the screen that our main spider girl does. So I'm always eager to know what's going on with her and that makes me impatient with the more forgettable/generic characters in the human side of the story.

No, the manga is the one that skipped the human plotline. In the web and light novel, it's like in the anime, but done better. The problem in the anime is that they focused too much on only Shun's POV while a LOT of those parts in the novel were from Katia(guy reincarnated as a red haired girl)'s POV. As a result, pretty much all of the introspection and emotional narrative beats with Katia (aka the best parts of the B-plot) were either skipped or shown without context from Shun's POV. And then the production issues of the company hired for the animation of the B-plot in the second half of the anime didn't do their job, so the studio had ro rush it with 3D and makeshift animation to be able to be done in time.

It’s not about the studio being afraid people wouldn’t watch it purely for the Spider Shonen anime, it’s more about the anime got beyond the manga, so they decided to follow the Light Novel plot, I remember watching this anime each week and I got tired of waiting each week so I decided to read the manga, that’s when I realized the manga was behind, like if I remember correctly, when episode 21 aired the manga was already behind the anime, it’s like Mushoku Tensei’s manga, only recently the manga finally catched to the end of season 2
