Rowdeemunkee

Bookmarked for the next time I get edibles

Andhy salvatore

I dont do drugs but this might be the best idea😭😭

KoG Goku

Wasn't on mine either

ChaotixInsanity

Oh god this is bringing back memories to when my sister would play this on repeat for days on end

Moviejunkie

Just watch Warm Bodies. Way less cringe, Lots more Laughs.

Silver Screen

Hehehe The only Twilight I care for is Sparkle.

Egregore

Gender swap the characters and you just have the average ecchi harem anime.

Toasted Toad

OMG, I can't believe you're doing this! Let me follow up your cringe by adding CRINGE! There is a series of You Tube videos by Dominic Noble reviewing the books and the fan sequels 50 shades. He starts off vowing that it will not be a hate review, and succeeds for a certain period of time into the series. But as he goes on, he becomes more and more horrified, until by the time he's a way into 50 shades "horrified" doesn't even begin to cover it. He's funny and articulate. Would highly recommend, maybe when you're done watching the series.

Big Mac

You better hold on tight, spider monkey

donald johnson

We got twilight before hobbit 2. Wut.

Michael

Being a high school male twilight fan at the time when the movies came out was so hard! Having to convince all my friends that the movies were so hysterically bad that we had to watch all of them could be pretty hard🤣🤣🤣

Imperial Guard

Why??? Nvm... Hobbit part 2 reaction when????

Verdigree

The word "raunchy" threw me, they way I've heard Twilight described by people who read it recently to do a book club podcast is as incredibly repressed by romance standards, Stephanie Meyer's Mormonism definitely influences her writing and it's chaste but obsessed with temptation (hence the apple) to the extent it seemed to the hosts as if Stephanie accidentally wrote about edging

MMDXXX

Please tell me we’re not actually watching the whole series?… I really hope this doesn’t get in the way of the upcoming Marvel reactions.

Mr. Ewok

The fact that this inspired the fanfiction 50 Shades of Grey... 🤣🤣🤣

YukoValis

Why you want to do this to yourself? There are people who care about you Alicia. lol

ExcelDamage

just found out theyre gonna be streaming all the twilight movies on the official youtube channel next week all week, in case anyone is interested

Yolo Samurai

Yea, I love you Alicia, but I can't sit through the full length version of this. I'll wait for the youtube release.

Silver Raven

Oh god no... Please go back to 50 shades. I'd rather have that.

Moviejunkie

Smosh parodied this best. Bella: “I know what you are, you have great reflexes, you don’t go out in the sun and you’re very pale.” Edward: “ You know what I am. Say it.” Bella: “Vampire.” Edward: “What? No, I just play a lot of World of Warcraft.”

Verdigree

OMG, Edward's first appearance is with Alice, and ALICE is the one who makes eye contact with Bella? #TeamAlice is real

Charlie

Hopefully not especially since we only have two movies to go until deadpool and wolverine, which if I remember correctly are guardians of the galaxy 3 and “the mavels”

Kaz

The more you ask, the longer it will take

Chamoun101

I only watched the parody movie of it! Lol

Gekido

She already announced Deadpool and Wolverine will be out by the 19th.

Tor Andre Frantsvaag

my condolences you had to suffer trough the sparkly fairies that bites.

Verdigree

The way I make sense of Bella's character, she's a fascinating person, her primary goal is vampiric immortality and everything she'd do with it is secondary, she's not picky about who she gets in from, she's selfish and amoral, vampires killing people in the world doesn't bother her as long as they don't kill anyone she KNOWS, she doesn't care when the vampires have regrets about losing their humanity, she just thinks becoming a vampire would be rad as hell and totally worth it, she's so funny

Mojo

Embrace the Cringe of the Past! It shows you have grown :3

DankusMemes

i remember when this movie came out and my gf wanted to go watch it together so i did, then after the movie i needed a palette cleanser so i watched 30 days of night and underworld again just to see what REAL vampires are like

Zarathos Daimaoh

Oh god i dislike this franchise so much. Can't believe i was even foolish enough (let's be real i tried to simp over some fangirl) to give the books a chance as well, with the usual excuse from fans "the books is better, they badly adapted this and that". But I'm there for the glorious cringe in your company

Zarathos Daimaoh

I dunno, the average ecchi harem got better writing and action

Mojo

I also have a funny story with Twilight. My dad read the Twilight books (was a big book guy + morbid intrest) & he took them to work with custom-made cardboard paper covers. He did that to a few books.

Hellnyte

I remember a girl in high school being upset that Bella I think the main character name was. that she was a brunette because it was supposed to look like her(girl i knew from school) so I asked her what she was smoking and went the library and grabbed the first book to show the description of her lol

Da-Jacku

Ok, but Why?...

Hellnyte

i need to watch this when i can get drunk im out

Matthew Snedden

Why would you do this to yourself? Get ready, for the cringe is REAL!

₊✩‧₊˚౨Sparxieৎ˚₊✩‧₊

Is ita good movie? No... Do i enjoy it? Very much. Cringe is fun, especially shared. You need to be able to look back and laugh over what you thought was cool when you were younger

Lexy

Only way I could watch these films is with the Rifftrax.

Bera

wtf kojima just rewatched this too LOL

MyOnisan

as i saw, that alicia reacted to twilight, i almost spat out my water D: - im ready for your take on that....lets call it movie xD now i have to drink rosé .. i hope thats how its written XD

thevoidbender

ngl I always forget Anna Kendrick is in this until she shows up LMAO

Nunya Biz

Ah Twilight.... I tried reading the Books.... But they were just so bad I barely got past 5 chapters before I just COULD NOT be bothered anymore.

Cole Savoie

The evolution talk was a little weird. Vampires have never been a species, its usually a curse or transmittable disease

Zarathos Daimaoh

Nah it has been a species in some fictions , even if a minority. Some stories do have purebreed vampires born out of vampires.

Zarathos Daimaoh

really ? It's basically an even worse fanfic at its core lol

SONICX1027

Oh boy, it’s CocoBred and Bed Monster’s way of torture their enemies

Void

There's no chill in these comments damn. Twilight came out when I was 15 so I was the perfect target for it, I loved those books and movies. Now at 33, their cringey movies yeah, but they're still fun to watch. The people going "oh no not twilight" don't know how to have fun man, watch it or don't

PropheticSage

Sort of insane how much acting talent is in this movie considering just how badly it plays on the screen

Trevor Appel

1:49:18 Unfortunately this director did get more work, and prior to this she was the director for the "cult classic" vampire movie The Lost Boys

Tikiman

Twilight has one of the best soundtracks in this era of films

TwojaStaraIFrytki .

the hatred robert pattinson has for this role and movie is legendary

Alex

Fun fact: those 2 guy you see with Jacob at the beach are actually native Americans and when they found out they had to cut their hair short for the next movies they refused to do that because it’s considered scared to them and so they decided to replace those guys 😭

Matthew Newton

I didn't think the books were all too bad. I was pretty young, so it didn't take much to please me, so maybe that's why?

The Turtle Bear

BRUH, this might be the one reason I rewatch this forsaken series.

Darko dargon

I wish alicia would check out world of darkness vampire the masquerade that has the coolest lore hope she checks it out

MMDXXX

Well, I've got a feeling Alicia probably won't be able to finish The Marvels, much like how she couldn't finish Quantumania.

Jacob Funckes

You know I've never watched nor read Twilight, the only experience with Twilight I have is the official gender swap version by Stephenie Meyer. I might watch this reaction though, some good cringe seems fun.

RF

Ah yes, Solo Leveling for girls. My middle school years.

Eliteguard99

This movie is FANTASTIC with the audio commentary, Robert Patterson spends the entire movie ripping the plot apart and laughing at it.

Eliteguard99

From this description this would make Bella the Neutral Evil alignment from Dungeons and Dragons.

Eliteguard99

Girls! Girls! You’re both terrible.

Eliteguard99

Holy shit the reaction is OVER THREE HOURS?!

Girthquake23

Okay, I don't like this movie. and neither do most adults I think.... this should be a good video....

Eliteguard99

God I would pay so much money to see Alicia and her friend react to Nosferatu (2024),

DanielTheHamster

You've never unlived until you watched Twilight....

_ Zenp00l_

I had only ever seen the parody movie Vampires Suck and after watching this I know which one i prefer. Can't wait to see how the other movies stack up.

Timothy Dowell

They likely just picked up Jacob's dad in the chair and carried him up the steps.

Fei Ashtear

Watching these movies gives me the same feeling as hitting myself repeatedly with a rubber mallet

Fei Ashtear

For the first time I'm actually glad the movie volume is so low without headphones.

Sebby

2 words. Cuck tent...

QuibblesAndGitz

It varies. The main thing is that Bram Stoker and Anne Rice are the big two where most vampire lore is a variation of one of their styles.

QuibblesAndGitz

Tbf, she felt the same way! I remember her quote of "Holy shit, I just remembered I was in Twilight!"

QuibblesAndGitz

I remember when they were new trying to watch them a couple times trying to figure out why people liked them, and never getting past 20 minutes.. Then I got together with the boys, a few bottles, and we made a fantastic night out of marathoning the series while cracking jokes like it was a combination of mystery science theater, Mel Brooks, and Monty Python! Under those conditions this is a phenomenal series!!!

QuibblesAndGitz

Definitely Neutral, but whether True, Chaotic, or Evil is up for debate.. I think NE would be the case if she didnt care who SHE hurt as long as she didnt know them. Being aloof to harm but not wanting to directly cause it feems more TN to CN to me lol

QuibblesAndGitz

Aside from Guardians and Deadpool, we are well past any Marvel I care about, so let it rip!!!

jdoggivjc

I have never seen this series... so now I have the opportunity to hate watch while listening Alicia and Pom make all the funny comments.

Adrian

I won't lie: I was a diehard twilight fan as a tween. Begged my dad to buy the books for me, owned a copy of the first movie and watched it so many times I had it memorized as a kid, had posters hung up in my room. However, by the time Breaking Dawn Pt 1 had released in theaters, I'd kind of lost interest (In no small part to that one very controversial part of the final book)

Ky McKenna

it may be cringe, but I adore this movie

Verdigree

Stephanie's very funny logic with letting the hair down was that if it was physically blocking Bella's carotid artery, that would of course block the vampire from smelling her blood, but because the wind MOVED HER HAIR OUT OF THAT POSITION, that's why the enemy vampire detects her

Verdigree

Among the many departures Stephanie Meyer made from vampiric fiction, the total lack of vampire teeth is so jarring and funny when they're all snarling at each other

QuibblesAndGitz

1:56:20 ok tbf, yall are comparing the "only eating tofu" to eastern cuisine and vegetarian/vegan, but i think the analogy is supposed to be a modern equivalent to living off gruel, being bland and tasteless.. Enough to keep you alive, but never feeling satisfied or fulfilled... I hate that I am saying anything in this movies defense, but as someone that loves to cook and would view eating only tasteless paste as a form of literal Hell, I get it lol

MrDudePerson

I started to search "How many times does Kristen Stewart blink in Twilight" and Google autosuggested everything after "Kristen" lmao

Verdigree

The film medium really exposes what was obscured in the book, ie time making no sense, since the vampire venom has been in there for minutes of screentime and has spread to cause pain in her head, it must be everywhere already, so there can't be an amount of blood Edward can remove to extract the venom without killing her

Lightinger

This might just be the most obscure refrence I will ever understand

5Tom51

honestly, I was suprised at how much I enjoyed this. This movie is major schlock but fun as fuck. I'm fully invested in this train-wreck now!

Eliteguard99

I can't get over the fact that When Ed drops off Bella with her friends after saving her from a bunch of drunk jocks, he friends are talking about how delicious the salad they ate was. They're like "We're sorry Bella, you took so long and we were starving" but the script writer was like "We don't want these girls to look FAT DO WE? Make sure they're talking about salad!". Jesus lol

Aku

i was not able to watch this cringe, im just listening it at the background :D

Brassemannen

LSP taking over Alicia sometimes is awesome!!! xD BTW these movies make me icky in another way... (NOT HATING ON ANYONE THAT ENJOYS THIS BTW.) Just the age's and consent and shit is all thrown out of the window at some points...

Zachary McCann

To take the whole skin sparkling convo waaay too seriously (fun side convo!)... A mutation doesn't _have_ to be positive/purposeful, it just has to over a period of time not prevent sexual selection enough to continue. So the way I see it, there's a few decent reasons why acquiring shimmering in light might happen (All just my thoughts and not suggesting that the books even considered any real reason :P): 1) It occurs as a side-effect of the vampirism mutation process with no real benefit due to an interaction with some hormone in the skin or something. Edward would be appalled by it since it makes them stand out + his own feelings about how vampires behave (he sees them as killers, and this is an observable trait for him to associate that feel with). However, humans historically love shiny things and would not be deterred from boning down on them and probably want it themselves enough to accept the bite transfer. So it continues. 2) Similar to 1, maybe it's a side-effect of a different positive. I think they're shown as having higher durability (except against each other's enhanced strength, riiiip) so perhaps during the vampirism mutation process, their skin becomes infused with some other mineral to increase durability. It just has a side effect of refracting certain wavelengths of light that sunlight has in spades (that florescent lights don't). Kind of think of Translucent from the Boys on this one. 3) It could occur with purpose, but humans are a poor fit species wise. Perhaps for species with more fur, the light refracts differently and creates a shimmering aura making them hard to visually track the movements of, enhancing their ability to hunt in moderate light. But humans being largely "hairless apes" they just blast out the light without changing it enough to be a distinct advantage, so they hunt at night. Plus, even with a disadvantage like this they can still make a ton of vampires due to the lack of... consent really required for that, so it could persist with enough a-moral vamps. 4) My favorite thought is that perhaps it's just situational. What if it IS intended to enhance the human vampire hunting experience, but only at night. Moonlight is just reflected sunlight so it SHOULD have a similar effect, but at a muuuch lower scale. If that's the case, maybe the shining skin provides extra light for them to better track targets in low light scenarios such as a moonlit hunt. But during the day the amount of light is so much higher that people think that Gondor calls for aid. Definitely enjoyed thinking about this convo way more than the movie itself, <3 Pom for taking the biology angle way too seriously to enable it :P

Nugo520

Yeah I'm gonna watch all of it but it's gonna be over like 3 nights, there is no way I can watch this in one sitting. This physically hurts.

Jack Middleton

So I took the take a drink for each lip-bite challenge and I went through a bottle of wine and a glass of whiskey, I regret nothing this reaction was amazing I will so be doing it again for New Moon.

Lance Ivy

first nations .lol ... your so canadian lol

Kawaii Edgelord

I do not remember the only months and nothing else on a page... but i beleive you, thats the exact kinda artsy thing preteen me would have been into thinking that was so deep lol

Sref

This was so cringe i ended up covering my eyes like if it was a horror movie. I'm not kidding.

Lance Ivy

nah up the staris is easy you just tilt them back like a dolly ...down staris thats the hard one

DeathHawk31

not in a million years did I think I would watch this yet here I am, at least Alicia makes everything better

QuibblesAndGitz

Edward keeps saying he can't read Bellas mind.. I'm pretty sure he can, he just doesnt realize there's nothing there!

GoldArthur

Eh, women shouldn't feel pressured into disliking Twilight for the cringe. Embrace the cringe and just have fun and enjoy yourself. That's what I've learned to do with many older "cringe" animes I enjoyed when I was preteen. If it makes you happy, then stop caring what other people think.

Monkey bing bong

"Hold on tight spider monkey!" I think the Twilight series did damage to boys appreciation of Robert Pattinson and it took until he talked about FF7 during an interview for him to get back in boys good graces.

Aqua Lantern

Interesting to get some insight from former big fans of the book instead of the usual riffing. This movie still causes me physical pain, but it's more interesting to watch hearing about this

Nugo520

Day 2 mother Truckers. Still Hurts.

Humbertowtf

Wine drunk, wine drunk, wine drunk

Daniel Siegfried

watching this makes me love Castlevania's romance between Lisa and Vlad even more.

Grdaat

As other people have said, Edward can't read Bella's mind because there's nothing there. Unless it's the book, in which case there's so much there I didn't need to know. Even as a kid when these books came out I didn't read through them because I had read better literature before, and I gave up quick. EDIT: The "evolutionary advantage" to vampires sparkling is that Stephanie Meyer is a racist Mormon. The vampires call the physical process of turning into a vampire the "beautification" process, and it involves turning white if you're not white already (not a joke). There is a good video called "Twilight Has a White Supremacy Problem" that goes over the whole thing really well.

GoldArthur

Ehh, having a thing for pale skin doesn't necessarily equal racism, unless there's something else there about the author that you didn't mention.

Otterplasty

I don’t want to be a hater, but it did feel kinda harsh to blame Kristen for the performance and in the same breathe say Robert was just given bad direction. Probably not the best choice for the roll yeah, but she definitely got fucked over by this movie just as much as he did.

Zero

Yeah! I'm not the biggest fan of these movies, but I can still enjoy them for what they are. A lot of things that people get hung up on are explained in the movies. Maybe not explained very well, but still explained. I still enjoy a lot of the stuff that I enjoyed when I was younger, even stuff that would likely make me cringe, because I remember what it meant to me back then, so I can just accept that for what it is. I'm not a critic, so I go into pretty much any piece of entertainment with the desire and mindset to be entertained. Not everything is going to have that effect on me, but I think most things at least deserves a benefit of the doubt, and attention in good faith.

DocteurNS

So this first meeting between Batman and Mr. Terrific was kind of awkward...

Narluga

#justiceforCharlie

Mason Allen

The way I sprinted over when I saw the notification lmao these movies are so fun

Jane Doe

It's probably an LDS church thing. Even if it's not a conscious effort to do it, growing up in a belief system means it colors your world, no pun intended. If you look at the Cullens as an ideal Mormon family/having already achieved the Perfected Body you get in the afterlife, then Bella is someone who's very receptive to the message of that faith. It doesn't happen very often when door knocking, so it's like getting a golden egg. Carlisle looks a whole lot like portraits I've seen of Joseph Smith too, so I'm sure something's there with the whole 'white and delightsome' thing.

Jane Doe

Man, as someone who is just as white as Bella, when I burn in the sun my skin just turns red, peels off, and leaves me with a coat of freshly snow-colored skin after. It's like... the sun takes the first few layers off and the nice, white onion flesh beneath is revealed. It's awful. Curse, you, electromagnetic radiation! My greatest foe!

Grdaat

Gold, removing people's skin tones and calling it "beautification" certainly is racist, and that's before we get to how the being werewolves forces people to keep their hair short (I wonder if that's at odds with certain cultural beliefs regarding certain cultures) and how everyone refers to them as dogs (I wonder if that is also a racist dog whistle used against those same cultures in the past). That's also just the tip of the iceberg, the video I mentioned goes into much greater detail

Toasted Toad

The hilarious thing is that Edward only likes Bella because he can’t read her mind, so is forced to read her expressions from her face (which, in the book, is supposed to be interesting). However, if he could read her thoughts he’d realise how boring she actually is and lose interest! Also, I think RP’s antipathy for the role was not just the acting, but the awful story and terrible messaging. Edward stalks and controls her, and she’s happy about it.

TabbyTheCake

Yeah its not my thing anymore, but I wouldn't lie it play quite big part of my friend's and I's teen years lol. We loved the characters mostly, though tbh a lot of it went over our head too.

LordVed

As far as admitting he's killed people, he did so in the forest during the "greatest predator" rant.

Damien Dark

Vampires suck should be the next step in the process of bleaching this out of mind

IFoundTheLight

I know I liked your friends, Pom has become a fav. She had me completely when she started talking about evolution of shiny vampires.

Talenozam

Minor nitpick about the evolutionary benefits of sparkly vampire skin. Not everything needs to be beneficial, it could be an old adaptation which used to be useful but now is not needed anymore. Similar to our tailbone, appendix. A characteristic that "isn't used" or "serves no purpose" does not disappear from a population unless a mutation occurs that reduces or removes that characteristic. Also just because this is a fantasy world (it already is, god being real or not wouldn't change that) doesn't mean every fantasy trope needs to be part of this universe. Edit: Had to check myself. The director actually got an award for this movie and a bunch of awards and nominations for their first movie. But they did indeed continue making movies and TV-shows, newest film being "Mafia Mamma" from two years ago and apparently they are currently working on a new show that's still tba which is based on the book series "The Raven Cycle".

WillGlacier

Oh shit I completely missed the vampire groomer movie post

Aliulo

16:56 - Wow, that is quite the eclectic collection of flags in that cafeteria. Yugoslavia(?) Spain Denmark Thailand Estonia Antarctica(?) The Royal Banner of the Royal Arms of Scotland(?) Peruvian War Flag(?) North Korea India Pakistan Ghana Nigeria South Vietnam(?) Greece South Africa Apartheid Flag(?!?!) Laos New Zealand Kenya, but Upside Down(?) Philippines

Toasted Toad

You’re under-estimating everyone’s ages. Bella is 17-18 (she turns 19 before marrying Edward). Jacob is 15-16, and in the beginning it’s not the first time they’ve met. They knew each other as kids.

Jack Middleton

It is wrong that this is one of my comfort watches, these two reacting to the cringe just brings me joy.

Spyrit Raizr95

I COULDN'T DO IT!!! I thought I could rewatch the whole movie if Alicia was absorbing most of the direct cringe, but there was just too much of it.
