Craig

The amount of foreshadowing in these first episodes is astounding. Such a trip going back and watching it all

Luffyiscool

I'mma say it. Ronaldo hate is forced.

N00B

Alicia, you gotta understand. They have been living with the Crystal Gems for as long as Steven has been alive. The moment they see cat-fingers, they're like: "Oh, cool. Let's hope it doesn't destroy stuff."

Nym

Oh boy, get ready for trauma!!! Seriously tho this episode scared me as a child.

Sam Marsh

Along with Luz from The Owl House, Alicia adds Steven to her growing list of adopted children.

Sam Marsh

so for the climax of this episode, the writers decided to go in the "Akira" route, but with CATS!!

Raskilion

I forgot how freaky this episode was

BakaSama

To be fair, she’s new to Steven Universe and in this episode Ronaldo is pretty innocent. Especially in comparison to Lars.

Julio Castillo

He's not that bad to be honest, just obviously written to be annoying.

Faroth

is just a happy kids show! ep5 and ep6: eldritch monsters, thraumatic events and we are jsut starting!

Porpoise Power

I love how freaked Greg got in this episode.

thedangmaster

The highs and lows of the show in a dramatic sense is so drastic. Why a generation of people literally culted around this show

josue vargas

That's just the first season, wich builds up the world from the very ground up and slowly tells us about what the gems are, what can they do both in general and individually, what steven can do, the begginning to comprehending his mother's relationship, what the "enemies" are, all in a goffy way

Kaze951

uh yeah... let's see how long that lasts lol

Julio Castillo

I respect every opinion^^^^... but for me.... the biggest lows of the show are actually in the later seasons (season 4 and 5 to be specific), not in this first one.

James S

Lars: *Says something snide to Steven* Alicia: Don't talk to me or my son ever again!

DaniDeFig

Yeeeaaahhh While season 1 is a FANTASTIC slow burn, it DOES still introduce you to the emotional highs and lows of the story early with this one ^^'

Darc Hart94

You know whats dumb? They're on a beach. The ocean was right there. They could've just tossed steven in

Cube Pylum

The very first scene of the show Lars and Sadie acknowledged that Steven is magic and he talks about the crystal gems a lot. There's not much reason they'd be shocked by the cat finger

Adam

So, Lars talking at all ever? XD

Ja’Maine Lee

but like they've never seen him do anything magical

Cube Pylum

They've seen other gems do magical stuff and they know Stevn also has a gem

Rinthewolf

Oh i can't wait to see how Alicia feels about Lars at the end of the series.

Rinthewolf

to be fair, we're not really sure how far the carwash is from the shore. i don't think we ever get an overall view of Beach City, so it may have been too late if they had tried to get to the ocean.

DLCDallas

@Luffiscool, You're definitely a Ronaldo

Ja’Maine Lee

i cant wait to see how she feels about ranaldo lol

Cali Jester

Ah, your first Eldritch Horror episode.

Furo

I love how you can see the intend to kill in the eyes of the Vtuber model when lars insulted steven. Good job alicia xD
