Hoopa Confide

Soon, the glory of the thundabolts

Moviejunkie

Thunderbolts will make you cry.😭

Lenixad

Thank you so much Alicia! Now only Thunderbolts is left, so hype for that one!

DeVaunBeats

Hulk 2008 was always canon, Alicia lol. Its part of the MCU and always has been.

Pell D. indestructible

Yay Marvel is back, this one did piss me off, it's straight up a Hulk movie with no Hulk

DrakeNoAubrey

The 2008 hulk was always canon, and I would have to disagree the previous actor, Edward Norton wasn't a good Bruce Banner but your opinion is very popular

Ilikegreedling

I hope the stars aline one day and she watches Moon Knight

Filthy Casual

23% battery.. just enough time to watch this

DJSkywalker

I wouldn't say this movie was bad, but I walked away from it feeling really... bored and apathetic. Like yeah, lots of Marvel references, neat suits, but like... the story wasn't engaging at all since there was no real mystery. You were just waiting for the Hulk out moment and then... the movie's over. I left the theater feeling empty.

Ranginald Vagel

I’m just happy because this means Thunderbolts is on the menu

PokéBoyBB

Wait we're ALREADY on Brave New World???? No way really?!

Blue buddy

Can wait for thunderbolts

Ertjon Bejko

Moon Knight and what if season (only season 1) best shows in my opinion

Ryan

1:50:07 No because Green Hulk hasn't been a monster for over 10 years

Ilikegreedling

Based, Moon Knight means *so* friggin much to me ever since it came out

Rowdeemunkee

Kinda hope we finish Daredevil before going onto another show.

BigNotori

Thunderbolts soon 😁

Zantagor

if you liked the antagonist in 2008 Hulk, you should probably watch the She-Hulk series as he's also involved in that.

Zantagor

yeah, skipped most of the D+ series, including She-Hulk and Moon Knight

PrivateXimmy

Yeah as far as the post endgame films, I’d put it right around the middle. Maybe a step above Doctor strange 2. Granted, that week had its entire script put to press in under six weeks, crazy work.

PrivateXimmy

I think Mark Ruffalo brought a lot more to the role, personally. Less confident, more awkward, yet the frustration was so so good. Like especially in the early films, he nailed the role.

DrakeNoAubrey

yea I hated Norton's Bruce he felt lifeless to me I didn't felt the smartness and knowledge he has and the pain of being the hulk

DrakeNoAubrey

Disappointed she was spoiled of the Red Hulk reveal but I hope it won't happen in next films and someone checks for her before she wafch it

RF

which metal is stronger is not really consistent. Adam. can't store energy or do other cool shit, and things that have destroyed Adam. can't destroy vibrenium.

.

If you haven't watched it already, maybe watch Thunderbolts with friends. It is very much worth it.

nervouspirate

This had so many issues getting made. I’m glad it came out as just forgettable imo because it could have been so much worse. Even more glad we can get to Thunderbolts*

The Lazy Gamer

Skipped or just not being prioritized and being watched later? There's a difference.

terrell thaddies

Alicia, u are confusing Fox's X-men lore to the MCU'S lore. The X-men nor the Fantastic Four, are a thing in the main MCU timeline. Adamantium hasn't been around in the MCU since Iron Man 1. They weren't allowed to use that material, X-men, nor Fantastic Four because of copyright with Fox that used to owned them But when Disney brought Fox in 2019, those movie rights transfered back into Marvel. So they are allowed to add said things into the MCU Deadpool and Wolverine (Movie) was always canon cuz it's within the MCU but the movie is set within the Fox Universe If u noticed, they dropped lil hints about more mutants showing up in these movies and shows

Jacob Funckes

It's always disappointing when someone gets spoiled of something, but let's be real, it's not like even Marvel themselves tried to hide that reveal whatsoever, considering they had it in every trailer and even have the Red Hulk in the cover art on Disney Plus. So sadly there was no chance she wouldn't have been spoiled of it.

DrakeNoAubrey

Yea true but it's like she had a second chance of not being spoiled unlike the rest of us but she still got spoiled, like I said I really hope Thunderbolts wouldn't be the same because you have important stuff in thetr

Jacob Funckes

I can't wait for you to see the West Chesapeake Valley Thunderbolts!

Egregore

Brave New World is an incredible movie in how it manages to center its entire plot around such unimaginably on the nose and undeniable references to real-world politics without actually saying anything about it.

Jacob Funckes

9:08 I get the confusion since the movie has hardly been mentioned since it's release, which was over a decade ago, but Hulk 2008 was always Canon, never wasn't.

Moviejunkie

I like this movie, but it should have been a Hulk movie. The Leader is a big Hulk villain.

A

I guess "over a decade ago" isn't technically an incorrect way to describe 2008, but it's not the terminology I'd personally use

Jacob Funckes

I mean, am I wrong? It's not 2028 so I can't say two decades.

YukoValis

I saw this movie get a lot of hate. I don't get it because I really enjoyed it. It isn't peak marvel, and you sure as heck need to watch the 6 part TV series to get anything. Otherwise, it is a good movie.

Gekido

This movie was clearly half baked, its not bad but it def could have been a lot better. I perfered Thunderbolts sooooo much more, one of the better movies post endgame next to Guardians 3 and Spider-man 3.

Beeman

THUNDERBOLTS

Ali

Hopefully thunderbolts is a solo reaction as I need Alicia fully locked in on that one and not distracted by her friends

Jackie Rollins

The guy you like from the other hulk movie played Abomination that was also in Shang Chi during the fighting ring against Wong.

PurportedGrey

I might be Mandela Effecting myself, but didn't she watch it? Like in order too right after Iron Man?

PokéBoyBB

I think this movie was pretty okay. Like it was good!...but definitely the weakest of the Captain America movies.

roxannesimp

THUNDERBOLTS IS THE NEXT MARVEL MOVIE YEEEEZSSSSSSS

.

They could still be putting together the edit for uploading.

CrimsonWarrior55

God, I love this movie. Yeah, I admit, production wise, its faulty. Maybe a 6/10. Lots of behind the scenes issues, real world problems, and other things in general like various rewrites and reshoots. But I love Sam so much this is easily my second favorite Cap movie. 8.5/10

Wil DeYoung

Besides the cinematography, I really enjoyed this movie because if felt a lot closer to what I liked from the OG movies. They toned down the camp a lot but kept a bit of that comic book flair. Not to mention the through line of Sam still taking up after Steve is fantastic and then them defining that while Sam and Steve both have the right stuff to be Cap, it's different stuff for a different time. Steve was hope for a time of great war, Sam is aspiration that we can all be better and it really shows in how Joaquin sees him.

Hugo Andres Lozano

I mean not really. Like Alicia said they info dump most of the more important details from the series so even if you don’t see the series you still have an idea of what’s going on.

EnderSlayer366

Common misconception and I'm not sure where people get this from: Captain America has never had any qualms killing people. In Steve's first outing he was in World War 2 shooting at nazis with a gun. Falcon for all of his appearances prior to being Captain America has similarly been shooting at people. There isn't any intention to keep the armed hostage-takers he's fighting alive. Also a movie a day in the lead-up to Christmas is crazy work, you must have a lot of them to get through.

criket

very strange comment to read before watching the video lol. Also Earthbound (all 3 mother games really) is peak

Sniper Delta

I mean that could be explained in different ways. Adamantium might be more durable and stronger, but vibranium is better at dispersing energy. So maybe a REALLY strong blunt blow to adamatium might break it, but Vibranium would just absorb and redirect it. Conversely, maybe something sharp like Thanos's blade could cut vibranium, but couldnt cut Adamantium. Basically theyre both just strong in different ways. But I will say that I have basically no comic knowledge, im just going off of the movies and how their properties are described.

Sniper Delta

Oh god please no. Yes, hes in it, but no. That is a Quantumania level avoid.

Sniper Delta

Yeah she did, and I believe she mentioned how its canon but they swapped actors. But to be entirely fair, that was like a year ago. I would completely get it if she didnt remember fully, especially when shes reacted to a LOT of different movies and shows since then.

Sniper Delta

I love seeing everyone in the comments getting so excited for Thunderbolts lol hopefully it comes soon!

nervouspirate

Actually knowing the bts stuff, it was severely over baked.

Dull Dragon

I have been looking forward to you getting back to the MCU! Kinda bummed that you got spoiled by Red Hulk, but, eh, it happens. While this move may not have been the best of the new phase, I still enjoyed it. I'm really looking forward to your reaction to Thunderbolts, and I'm hoping you'll check out Marvel's What If series on Disney+ at some point.

Daisy Azuras

Dude, I played F-zero on the super NES before there was even a thing called smash Bros

Mannycool4

yeah it felt way more like a hulk sequel with captain america shoved in as the lead

Daisy Azuras

Adamantium is new in this universe. You have to remember that the X-Men don’t exist in this particular universe, but with the Multiverse open, we will probably see some sort of crossover of all the different universes so just because wolverine has never existed in this universe doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist in another one and can enter this universe or vice versa.

nandyroo94

Since i haven't seen anyone post it Harrison ford had got cast due to William Hurt shuffling off his mortal coil and they had this apparently planned

EnderSlayer366

also ant's so real with his spider-man take, every spider-man movie other than Spider-Man 2 gets overhated so much for no reason, they're all bangers and he's so real for that

Vendacator

I have no care for this one, but I hope you enjoy it

Daisy Azuras

I freaking love thunderbolts. I saw it twice in the theater. I can’t wait for this.

Myles

I hope that you go back to solo reactions for superhero stuff. You're more locked in when doing solo reactions.

Adam

It's just a last resort. Not a first one.

Adam

Still significantly better than most of the two last phases, and Dark World and Iron Man 3.

Adam

Red Hulk isn't the main villain of the movie anyways, he was a *literal* "Red Herring."

Adam

No, it isn't. It's actually EXTREMELY fitting to the character (She-Hulk was also breaking the fourth wall years before Deadpool was.) She-Hulk's *also* consistently been someone who'd put sexist chuds on their place, or has a ton of sass. Literally nothing about that series was badly done APART from the Courtroom shit. It's just it was goofy, but guess what, the MCU's grown to the point it can show that side of a comic book setting.

Adam

not being prioritized, not skipped.

Adam

Yes, and it got rated low SOLELY because the lead actor was shit. She loved everyone else.

Adam

Yeah, the one that shows Sam was the right pick for Cap.

Dorran

On the whole, I will say that I consider this movie to be "good." Not great, but definitely good. Still, I'm not upset with a movie simply being good. It's better than SOME of the MCU stuff that we've gotten recently, and that's even me speaking as someone who actually enjoyed Quantumania. I really hope that you bring a buddy to try it again at some point.

Alexander deLongchamps

Welcome back, glad you took a break from Marvel, so you wouldn't sick of the franchise

Adrian

Me personally. I will never compliment japanese government since they still don't think it's important to teach what shit japan did bad in ww2

Discerning Deviant

I like this movie, but I do have some big issues with it. One is that it's essentially Incredible Hulk 2 without Hulk. The other is that with knowing going in that it's a Red Hulk vs Captain America match up, you know Sam has no chance of winning the fight so he was obviously going to win with a speech. While I don't normally hate that, knowing it before the movie started did diminish my enjoyment of the climax. Worse, this being Sam's first feature film as Captain America, you want him to make a strong impression and I don't feel like having him barely beat an unpowered senior citizen then getting rag dolled by Red Hulk was a great way to sell him as a leading character, especially to those who didn't watch his show. I really feel like there should have been a movie before this where Sam goes against villains more in his weight class so he can get some real wins under his belt before putting him against something so far out of his league as a Hulk.

AonixGhostlyQ

Makes sense that a hulk villain talks about other world probabilities. Seeing how interdemensional the hulks are

Silver Screen

I won't disagree with you, because I don't wanna argue that. But the movie is pretty over and underbaked. Not to mention how many concepts and plotpoints it borrows from Winter Soldier.

Lukundra

Pretty crappy movie as per usual, but you should get some enjoyment out of it

Bowman C.

I had a lot of problem with the politics of this movie. If that was China, it would make somewhat sense. But Japan is America’s dog. There’s no way this would happen.

Ali

Alicia, Adamantium (wolverines claws and skeleton) has always been stronger then vibranium but Vibranium is more versatile and lighter but the other IS stronger and more durable, this film is just the first time we get introduced to it in the main MCU timeline, as obviously xmen is separate therefore no adamantium in main timeline and yes the 2008 Hulk has always been canon this isn't new lol

PotterBrony

No visual effects needed, someone just had to ask Harrison Ford about Star Wars.

Silver Blade

35:00 uh oh maybe the X-men are gonna get introduced to the MCU??

Kai

Neither Sam nor Steve Rogers had a no killing rule. You're thinking of batman. Captain America kills people if he has to, especially if they have guns.

N00B

Yeah, but its ANT! The BOI! We can't say "no" to our boi. D:

Adam

Worth noting Adamantium has been a Cap thing for a long time too, since 1969 (his shield was actually made out a proto-version of it in the comics, as well as a few villains of his having it for weapons, like Constrictor, who had adamantium cables he used to fight, as well as being the stuff Ultron was made of), so it makes sense it showed up in a Cap movie. It's just that it was also Copywritten by Fox because Wolverine, so they had to use Vibranium for a sizeable amount of the shit that was actually Adamantium to avoid legal issues.

Kaea Edwin

And now we wait for thunderbolts * then she’s pre much caught up with mainline mcu

Swendle

Omg, I just finished watching her reacting to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series, and here we are, the movie!

Swendle

Also, is Ant Alicia’s Fiancé? Because one of the MHA episodes, she said “husband come over here,” and it sounded like Ant’s voice. She wasn't married due to cancer.

Mr.Mystery

For all those wondering, the X-men have been said to be introduced coming soon in the MCU as the newest movie “Secret Wars” will be sort of soft rebooting the series, slowly, while doing so. In comics, adamantium is stronger than vibranium and I think finding it via a Celestial makes decent sense. Though not sure if it’s comic accurate. It hasn’t been used in the MCU yet I think.

Azaxul

Wolverine is another universe. There is no X-Men in the main universe.

Adam

No, Ant's her best friend. Rich is her Fiance'

Phantom Penance

Ugh the after-credits scene still annoys me. You’re telling the guy who fought ALIENS twice that there are threats from other worlds coming?? What tipped you off Sherlock?!

Matthew Newton

4 minutes in and we're talking about Sly Cooper. Pimpin. I really wish they would give us a new game, or a remaster. I played it recently and it still really, really holds up, narrative and gameplay wise

Phantom Penance

Also, I was really enjoying Marvel going a more political/crime thriller route with their content, I was hoping that they might take Sterns from this movie, Power Broker, the Ten Rings from Shang-Chi, and start forming their own Cabal criminal organization.

TSP247

general ross now president ross was the guy who would hunt the hulk. also just a little rant, I have been waiting for the red hulk to be used for so long and now they use him as a throw away character for 4-5 min and never again.

Michael

I will not stand for the John Walker slander, he was a great Cap.

Caison

never thought i'd see the day that Alicia is the one to explain the marvel lore, we've come so far...

Okoga

Good choice to bring Ant in on this movie, made it bearable for me. So sick of mind control.

Some Simp

Just Curious do you plan on watching marvel animated stuff like x-men 97, Spectuar spiderman, Averagers earth mightest heroes, etc.?

Michael

All of them

Egregore

What does a K-pop group have to do with this?

Egregore

I think it’s a decent action movie; but it’s really disappointing in how it tries to pretend like it’s some kinda commentary on modern politics without actually having any coherent political themes or messaging in it.

WHY IS SLY COOPER THE ONE TANGENT WE DONT GET. NOBODY TALKS ABOUT IT AND I LOVED IT

Ironthunder

I think genuinely wanted to changed but he's a flawed person so his attempt to change fails

Moviejunkie

So my issue with The Leader in this is that he’s supposed to look like MEGAMIND but Green. And they made him look like an Bloated Frog 🐸

Swendle

Oh, thanks!😊

Vectoris

Agent Ross is the guy from Black Panther. Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross is who we see here. First he was General Ross, then Secretary Ross, now President Ross. Also, they changed actors for him because the original actor died.

Vectoris

2008 Hulk has always been canon, they just switched actors between that movie and the first Avengers movie.

SquaredSpekz

Thunderbolts*, not Thunderbolt

SquaredSpekz

I have no idea why they thought it was a good idea to bring up plotlines everyone forgot from the skippable MCU film.

Cyber

the way i always visualized it: vibranium is a better shock absorber than adamantium in terms of it dispersing its energy defensively, but adamantium is just stronger more offensively.

SweetCandle

The cinematography actually reminds me a lot of Captain America: Winter Soldier. A lot of thriller type stuff with the comic book action in the final act.

SweetCandle

The Washington cherry trees were planted in 1912, a gift from Japanese statesman and mayor of Tokyo, Ozaki Yukio (related to this film's Prime Minister Ozaki?).

Rhodair

Ant is a long-standing best friend. Rich is her husband, a Tekken player she met while commentating tournaments.

PrivateXimmy

WAIT LMFAO THIS IS HOW ALICIA LEARNS GWEN DYING WAS A CANON EVENT IM DYING But fr fr, a lot of the subtext of across the Spiderverse’s “canon events” are about fan expectations of certain tragedies

Jacowab

I wonder when Alicia will finally get around to Moon Knight

Zannimask

Overall I thought this movie was a decent idea but it absolutely SHOULD HAVE BEEN A HULK MOVIE. I forget the specifics of the contracts and stuff but after 2008 Hulk they basically couldn't give our Big Green Boi his own movie so all his development and plotlines were tied into other films (and She-Hulk a bit). So much of this movie ties into the 2008 Hulk as well as Banner's whole story a lot more, and Sterns is a full-on Hulk villain (called The Leader). I feel like they were forced to shove a Captain America movie into this story and the film only suffers for it. If this was allowed to be about Bruce and a full-on Hulk movie I think a lot of my problems with it would have been addressed.

Dooba Dooba

He looks so much cooler than a green megamind lol

Nugo520

This is another one of those movies that when I first saw it I wasn't a fan. I was really upset that this wasn't a hulk movie (I still think it should have been, Stern AKA the Leader and the red hulk are iconic hulk villains and to not have him fighting them hurts a little). That being said watching it again, a lot of the things I thought were ok the first time or didn't even really pay attention to started to stand out to me a lot more. I think another reason I didn't like it was the timing too. Having a president being the focus and having the election and stuff at the start coming out not long after the actual presidential elections that, to me, were not good. Also having one of the main Characters be Israeli not too long after that whole situation kicked off at the time felt a bit like a miss step. Now though those don';t bother me as much, the sting is still there but there has been enough time for it to not be as much of a drain of my enjoyment of this movie

LegitPotatoes

I hear a lot of people say that there is a no killing rule among MCU heroes but that's not true, and in many early films (first example that comes to mind is Iron-Man's combat scenes) they are straight up killing people, Cap was a soldier during WW2 and we see him fighting alongside Bucky, shooting people, Thor is a WARRIOR prince of Asgard. Don't get me wrong their not murder hobos, and they do make a point of having people survive some pretty lethal attacks or making a point of knocking people out but I don't think any of them have ever claimed a no kill rule except Spidey? (And even that was thrown out vs aliens in Endgame)

EllieWentWest

Thunderbolts Thunderbolts Thunderbolts Thunderbolts!!!

Immeasurably Me

Yeah. Japan and america would never have problems and fight eachother. Completely unrealistic. Ruined my superhero comic movie.

Immeasurably Me

Alicia been off the MCU so long she thinking that xmen and wolverine have been in it forever and forgetting what different universes are.

JuanmaRailgun

Man I completely forgot she hadn't been doing MCU

Adam

He literally isn't one in any of them. But at least he wasn't John Burnside.

Scrubthulhu

The actor for Thaddeus Ross who Harrison Ford plays passed away in 2022.

Lance Ivy

i just cant look at this villan and not thing of oh brother where aret thou everytime he talks i just hear "goffer everet?"

Lance Ivy

its okay as the presdent of the united states red hulk only needs aproval to build on white house grounds he can tear down anything he wants

Lance Ivy

can we get congressman barns to please get his ass 2 miles up pensivania ave please

Robert Collard

I think you mean Rich is OUR fiancé

ExcelDamage

i know im pretty late to this, but 2008 hulk movie was always canon, mark ruffalo was a recast for bruce banner but it didnt erase the movie in any way.

Vinne

There's a good diagram out there that states if wolverine had vibranium in his skeleton he'd have constant headaches because it's a reverberating metal

Kevin Bartelen

Adamantium has in fact NOT been around for a long time Alicia. Not in the universe that that MCU mostly takes place in anyway. The X-Men, Deadpool, and adamantium are all in another part of the multi-verse that this world has not yet had contact with (unless you count Deadpool interviewing with Happy, but h didn't have any adamantium on him) The Deadpool And Wolverine movie was literally about Deadpool being asked to join the main MCU world and then ultimately rejecting the offer in order to save his own world. So this adamantium thing is new to them here.

J.U.N.E.S

I’m excited for the Thunderbolts reaction, it was one of my favorite movies in the last few years of the MCU

Artemis

I think my 2 main complaints for this movie is the villains design because in the comics he is supposed to have a huge kinda vegapunk looking head. And I'm not a fan they made red hulk an out of control rage monster like regular hulk when red hulk is supposed too just be himself but bigger and red basically when he hulks out

ITS_ME_EX

Exited for her to watch thunderbolts

Prise par J.A.Z.

My two complaints are: Why is this between the U.S. and Japan and not between the U.S. and any nation that's on the Indian Ocean?! Like South Africa, Oman, Australia, and/or INDIA? and the second, Who and where is the Vice President during all of this?

Artemis

I would assume those nations were already on board with the plan of sharing the resources Japan was just the last one holding out and the vice president doesn't typically do much so honestly we don't really need too know about them during the events of that movie

A

Hardly any marvel characters are in it. Not every marvel movie needs jokes all the time

Adam

They just won't do it if there's a better option.

Michael

It means Behind The Scenes. If you were joking I am now sad because it didn't translate to text
