I got no clue how things work where you live but where i live if ISP's don't provide the contracted amount of internet (beyond a certain threshold) they have to pay a fine (especially if it impacts your ability to work) so hopefully you got something like that where you live.

I remember when Too Short to Ride first aired and it was crazy how many people were trying to say that Amethyst was completely in the right to take the tablet and chuck it into the ocean, and Peridot unlocking powers bc of it 'justified' it. Like no??? Yeah her frustration with Peridot is valid. But that doesn't give Amethyst the right to try and destroy a comfort object.

I do hate how the bodysnatch episode kind of just glosses over the fact Steven, even if accidently, took away Lar's autonomy and tried to force him into a relationship with Sadie, and basically made pretty much all of his relationships weird, just for the sake of a "Haha look at how mean this loser is" joke for the audience. But it's totally okay cause Steven was right in the end, yay! Then again the series as a whole kind of glosses over how weird it is that Steven keeps trying to force people into his viewpoint which leads to uncomfortable scenarios for them. i do like that SU: Future tackles that.

I think part of why Steven gets away with it is because he's young and immature and overall a good kid, so most people just assume he'll grow out of it when he's older

I get what you're saying, but that's not a "he's sorry, he'll grow out of it" situation. Regardless if it started as an accident, it stopped being one when he violated Lars autonomy to take his body and relationships for a joyride with no concern for him whatsoever. After everything with Lapis, the gem shards, and what happened between Pearl and Garnet, he should know very well it's not okay. And all of Lars' "friends" just defend steven and question how Lars isn't okay with it. It's just a distasteful episode because it chooses to laugh at Lars being a victim while everyone else acts confused how he's not okay with having his body taken from him

I never understood the idea of parents punishing their children for not living up to their expectations. Like why not just let them be who they are and do things that they want (within reason obviously) because from what I understand those kinds of parents are what lead people to having awful and incredibly strenuous lifestyles and will ultimately lead them to constantly being unhappy in the pursuit of unachievable perfection.

I also had parents who would flip out over totally minor things, but the worst was when they were calm about it. I mean, my mom was never calm but if my dad was ever like "Take a seat" instead of yelling, you know you genuinely fucked up, and he was a master of making you feel bad about it.
