Aries Requiem

New year starting off with some banger S3 episodes

Sergio Bolden

Is it me or does gem corruption sound very similar to abstraction from the amazing digital circus?

Harus Streit

Just to kinda clarify what happened in the story, Centi wasn't 'betrayed', it was more they were told that a bomb was incoming, but couldn't find the ship to avoid the blast.

DLCDallas

Kind of, Abstraction is a more breakdown of the mind from deteriorating mental states from trauma and/or direct tampering. Corruption is the result of a direct attack from the diamonds that (Spoiler) acts like a virus (3x23) with one exception from SUF where it's called corruption but seems to be more tied to the individuals power to alter their body due to their feelings similar to 1x13 "So Many Birthdays." Also corruption has a definitive cure while abstraction according to Goose, if they haven't changed their mind or were simply not telling the truth, is the point of no return.

Crimson wolf

This is less a normal mind damage thing and more like an eldrich horror broke her mind

NebulaNyx

episode 14 is such a good episode. I started crying at the end.

WillGlacier

the fucking end of evangalion ending to episode 13 ain't no wayyy

AnotherWeeb

I mean, logically yes. But I think if the superiors that you dedicate your entire immortal life to bomb you without hesitation, it's still going to feel like enough of a betrayal. Even if you got an evacuation order you weren't able to act on

Levi Tompkins

They went wild for that eva reference.

DaniDeFig

You did great Alicia. Heartbreaking commentary & reaction to a heartbreaking scene.

Matt Myers

i love that at the end of Kiki's nightmare and they sit on the beach it is framed EXACTLY like End of Evangelion

TSP247

I love this show and it is understandable that he would want to know how to say sorry in gem language.

Qtoons

Is that what all these different animations of couples sitting referencing this whole time?!

Matt Myers

This one's specific, look up end of evangelion beach and you'll notice the pizzas are in the same stance

Khan_5

It´s always crazy how this cute and lovely show can suddenly remind you of some deeply disturbing backstory.

Sydney Horton

Since you'll literally never find out, we believe that Centipeetle's gem is actually Nephrite. So glad some of the crew reunited even in their insanity

Vincent Price

12:03 OMG neon genesis reference

Hyhyd

I made sure to treat myself real nice to watch this. Got a Gingerale and some BBQ chips

scatman's world

Don't worry you gave enough commentary for that episode! It's really top tier how much you learn in that one!

JuanmaRailgun

"I hope I did commentary" yeah, SU's lore episodes are like that, we feel you girl.
