Ayyyyy. Thanks for the video Alicia ❤️

So this is where it all starts. We know rose bubbled bismuth because she refused to shatter gems, but we have stories of rose shattering pink diamond which contradicts that, with pearl and garnet both acting like they know something

Sirghostfreak

The scream when Steven got pulled 😭😂

BakaSama

Steven gained EMOTIONAL DAMAGE.

TSP247

I love this show I can't wait for more reactions from you.

bloodyshadow1

honestly, between how peridot treated pearl and how 'excited' eyeball ruby was at the prospect of being given a pearl, it's why I give our Pearl a lot of slack. Like I love her character development, but the fact that her kind was given as rewards to soldiers who performed well..., it's a good reminder that Pearl is likely a former slave and if this was a show for an older demographic, there's implications behind gems owning Pearls

Speed1247

These last 6 episodes go so well together, they set a precedent and then immediately call that into conflict. Rose quartz never being willing to shatter anyone but then being the one to have shattered pink diamond. Also her questionable behavior with bismuth, not even telling her friends what happened to her.

RF

The first time I saw this episode I was like "Ohhhh that's why Rose kept the Breaking Point around and never destroyed it like Steven did." Like when I watched this episode it felt like it connected, because yeah, Rose tried to do what she thought was best and even if she bubbled Bismuth, to me it made sense at the time that she might've not been completely convinced herself so she kept the weapon Bismuth made just in case she ever did have to use it.

Slaan

The subtlety of the foreshadowing in episode 24 is amazing. Absolutely brilliant.

Burke

She ever get to see the extended opening?

The Emperor Moth

“I was there, Jasper. I was there the day Rose Quartz shattered Pink Diamond…”

Kale

I can’t believe you’re about to be in season 4 already……

AnotherWeeb

and amethyst to a lesser degree

Kim

I’ve always wonder if pearls were made that way because pearls aren’t really gems? They come from sea life not veins of rock. Makes me wonder if amber would be considered a gem too.

ben elea

God, season 4 and 5 are finally here. I'm SO excited for all the mystery to unravel and all the info on pink diamond coming up!!!

ben elea

Damn, i never thought of that. Thats a smart connection to make, lol

scatman's world

Ahhh the shatter reveal I love how you reacted to it! Can't wait for season 4 its hype

The steven universe turning into steven in universe pun aside. Drifting into space is one of the worst horror i can imagine happening to anyone. And this series almost made that happen twice somehow. God i love this Lowkey horror show

Kris

Kinda helps explain the bit between her and Greg in "We Need To Talk". Greg: I barely know you. Rose: That's a good thing...

Jacob Ferreras

Oh sure "we" would be the ones upset at leaving it off there. I'm sure you could handle your baby boy flying off into the dead of space without worrying.

Okarun

best reaction channel, really I watched a lot of people who react and she is on top! Never thought I'd say it out loud but I'm happy to pay to watch it without limits.

[Name Redacted]

Anyone else hearing a phone ring ? I'm probably imagining that...

JuanmaRailgun

I love noticing the foreshadowing of stuff in early episodes. I don't dare say what the things are so I don't spoil, but you know... certain people making certain gestures.

I love that last couple shots of Steven. The scene where they're talking about what Rose did is so well juxtaposed with Steven's time in the bubble. He's struggling to believe that Rose Quartz could shatter a diamond, even if it was what needed to be done and the only way. But with that last question, you can tell — in the tremor in his voice, the shakiness of his hand, him grasping his core — that now he's not just asking if Rose could hurt someone like that. Then, as he stares out into space, where he just was forced to personally throw a Ruby out into the void from which he was just rescued from the terrifying fate of being lost forever, you can see in his eyes that he's scared: "Could *I* really hurt someone like that?"

Egregore

I know what you mean; it’s surprising that it was happening so early on.

N00B

I love how the reveal of Rose shattering Pink Diamond builds on top of the doubt from Bismuth. I won't spoil too much, but its interesting how much depth they add to a character that isn't even on-screen for most of the show. Also, good to see me and my fellow pre-watchers are all on the same page.

Adam

Not really. Any good story always hints early, so you go "oh, THAT'S what that meant."

JuanmaRailgun

Not really what? I made no statement about whether it's common or not. Like, I even called it foreshadowing, if there's a word for it, means I'm recognizing it as a regular thing.

A.M Seymour

I love when anethyst asks if lapis and peridot wants to be prisoners peri grabs lapis arm really protective like

Best Season Finale of the show hands down. The show is all about love, tolerance and understanding.... but is in moments like these.... where the main character has to learn a hard lesson from the harsh reality.... when the show really shines. I also love this Finale because it validates a little bit what Bismuth predicated, although..... obviously in a much less extreme way. And sure... Steven doesn't have to be the same as his mom if he doesn't want to.... but i think we can all easily deduce that Rose didn't want to shatter Pink Diamond in the slightest. But she most likely was put in an impossible position.... where she had to decide between betraying her ideals... or protecting the ones she loved alongside her new home (kinda like Ned Stark in Game of Thrones). In those kinds of situations.... it really doesn't matter if steven wants to remain a pacifist, he would have make a tough decision.... because he's not fighting just for himself.... he has whole lot of family and friends that would suffer if he didn't take any possible measure to ensure the safety of his planet. Man.......... i love the Pink Diamond Twist (especially because it makes Pearl's character even better in retrospective) but it also saddens me.... because it diminishes the good lesson that Steven learned right here.

I’m going to be honest with you: when it comes to war, you’re going to have to make tough decisions. You either save yourself, save everyone else, or die trying. It’s not about wanting to be like his mom or not you’re going to have to make that hard choice anyway. Like when Bismuth tried to kill Steven , he had to hurt her, or he was going to die. At the end of the day it still makes you human and not a bad person there is no heroic answer every time it’s just self- defense and war crosses that line constantly in real life and in shows
