This is 100% the most underrated anime of the season. Also when are you going to finally react to the Marvel movie thunderbolts its literally the last Marvel movie you have to react to till the next one is released in theaters and then to digital a few months later.

Brayden Hadley

Technically she also needs to watch Daredevil Born again as well although I don't know if she watched that on her own time. Or even finished with the whole series. Also there is the punisher series as well lol

OfficiallyGames

Wished she’d actually watch before blindly trusting and clicking on “skip recap” considering if she actually watched it she would see that it definitely wasn’t a recap and she just skipped over some stuff, luckily wasn’t important but still it could’ve been. Also she hasn’t watched the OP yet so would be nice to get her reaction on that also instead of her skipping over it.

24:48 THAT’S MY GIRL KIVIA! You tell that priest to go F*** himself. What did I say, she’s coming round, now I just hope we don’t have a Hughes incident with her. Only true servants of our glorious Rat Queen will understand.

Demi

I really hope we find out more about Norgalle and who he is soon. I'm amazed but also really confused abut his character at the moment. After he severed his leg why does he shout "Norgalle stay right there, I'm coming to save you!?" is he actually Norgalle? Does he have a seperate personality in him maybe? What is going on with that.

Nathan Jones

So far we've got a paladin whose figured out how to do ranged smites. A rogue with a lightning gun. An artificer with ridiculously high charisma and probably expertise with persuasion and a barbarian who took intelligence as a dump stat. Quite the party we're putting together.

Cvillain626

1:15 Dont trust Skip Recap...idk why they put that in, but everything before the OP was a new scene :/

Cvillain626

I love how real Kivia is....like yea she never interacted with Xylo when he was a Holy Knight too so she just straight up believed the propaganda, but she's actually allowing what she sees with her own eyes to change her opinion instead of just shutting it all out

AngieAngelFish

crunchyroll pulls this shit so often i don't trust skip recaps especially with new shows.

Kampela

Majesty is true leader, the GOAT!

ElevenZero

they maybe automate it, since it's before the OP it's probably automatically flagged as a "recap"

YukoValis

Goddess: For the love of me, praise me darn it!

Sam Marsh

God damn it, if our leaders had even half of the compassion, spirit and conviction as King Norgalle, our world wouldn’t be on the verge of collapse.

WillGlacier

Idc if my theory turns out to be wrong and he's not actually the true king of the Kingdom who got branded a "terrorist" by the church, HE'S MY KING GODAMMIT!!!

DocteurNS

We know the church can revive their soul inside other bodies. And that being revived too many times messes with your sens of self. So my current theory is that he's really the king or that "Sage" who was mentioned in passing last episode (could be the same person, for all I know) and that he was put in the body of his student/friend Norgalle, whom he failed to save during a coup(?) when the current leadership took over. That would fit with his dialogue this episode. Though he's a really good character, because it's hard to parse where his delusion end and his distorted memories start.

Hommyz1

I got your Super Mario Sunshine reference! That boss took me quite a while the first time I played the game growing up.

Pool

Anything and everything but gurren lagaan ^2

Ludo Phok

that giant bloop cry was really accurate

nicko jones

I think about every time I see a new notification

Rokkettdog

Just to let you know, Alicia. Crunchyroll are on their bullshit cuz the beginning wasn't a recap.

Pool

I just fear Gurren Lagaan fell of the way side and thats sad bc its one of the most beautiful and empowering stories

T.H.

"Why the tree thick?" Vegans got needs too lol.

Skebaba

I think the true king "died" trying to save his people during w/e "terrorist" attack happened, hence the "Was I too late this time?" line.

Skebaba

Honestly I guess it would make sense. Kinda sus the 4th Subjugation War started only 20 years ago, no? Weird how the only mfs who are effective vs the demon lord mfs is the Temple, yea?

WillGlacier

yeah about that, he did scream out HIS OWN name when he attacked the demon lord so I genuinely think THAT IS the KING'S SOUL inside Norgalle's body, since heroes can come back from the dead by having their spirit inhabit a new body (tho I assume the body would change to look like the person's soul, but maybe the church specifically made it NOT change for him since he is clearly the king and he called out for the owner of the body who probably died during the "Terrorist attack")

WillGlacier

New theory, since we know heroes can come back from the dead by having their spirits forced into a new body (like corpses), and Norgalle screamed out that he was "coming to rescue" "Norgalle". I genuinely think his SOUL is the previous King's soul, his body is Norgalle's body (who probably died because of the church pulling some bs), and when the king died trying to save his friend (aka Norgalle) the church brought him back BUT IN NORGALLE'S body and had one of their members take the KING'S BODY and is now acting like the king wearing his skin while Norgalle is branded as a terrorist when he is actually the king who died trying to save his friend.

Here's the interest stuff to think about. Since Dragon Quest the word "yuu-sha(勇者)" was used to indicate "the hero" to defeat Demonlord, so many translated "yuu-sha" as "hero(英雄)." However the term "yuu-sha(勇者)" doesn't mean "hero," it just means "the brave(勇,yuu) one(者,sha)." I guess this anime took that meaning and rolled with it. And I think it's fitting since "hero" in this show is basically anime "Suicide Squad." PS. Also in D&D term "yuusha(勇者)" are just mean "fighter."

Rosinante

I started yelling "IT'S NOT A RECAP!" at my screen lmao

Gasket

is it just me or does trying to go fullscreen on PC make the video just restart and not go fullscreen

akos

me too. copy the URL and open it in a new tab, it should work
