Michael's sabotage was such an ingenious idea that Gordon's added it to every season from this point forward. Unfortunately despite the show showing that michael accepted the apprenticeship he actually didn't, he wanted to stay in the US to be with his family. Unfortunately circumstances such as the death of his infant daughter led to Michael becoming a drug addict. He lost his job, his wife, and his home. He was homeless for a while until eventually he attempted suicide but was found and saved. After that he got clean and sober, got remarried to someone else and i believe is back cooking somewhere since covid inspired him to make food trucks and outdoor restaurants

Eventually they realized that redesigning all of hells kitchen in 2 days cost too much and caused too many issues so they drop it entirely

2026-10-07 05:00 Winner! My personal favorite season is Season 6 with "The One-Armed Bandit" David. But there are many seasons I enjoyed for various reasons, either good or bad. But, again good or bad, no one can hold a candle to certain very bad or very good Chefs, lol.

I gotta say. I was surprised michael didn't pick Andrew. Andrew might have been motivated to push ahead and fuck over Ralph after Ralph spent all season fucking over Andrew. And honestly only Andrew and Elsie were good picks for team building everyone else was either pretty shit or couldn't do anything alone

When I was working in the restaurant the head chef came around as I was chopping green onions and called my name and startled me. My hand slipped and nicked my hand so lightly I didn’t even feel it and answered chef and by the time I went back to cutting, I looked down to see blood everywhere. Andrew’s cut reminds me of that, that cut could be shallow and slight but yeah, hospital trip when you lose that much blood and the fingers bleed like mother fucks. I’m not even the only guy, half the kitchen had gone to the hospital at some point for a minor slip that lead to a hand cut, it’s such a common thing

I did a little bit more of a looksee into Michael just to see more of his story, and found some details on instagram (Michael is skullandcleavers13) that might've been unclear if anyone cares lol. Michael's second daughter is with his first wife Lola, and he seems to still be present both their lives (from his and his ex's instagrams, Michael praised his daughter's Halloween costume last year and Lola posted about Michael being hospitalized in August 2024). His daughter also appears to be trans so good for her I guess? Not exactly relevant but the fact that both her parents appear supportive is very nice to see. In some kinda way Lolapop lives! Lola uses the name "lolapopperz" on instagram and appears to work as a dancer at a bikini bar or "non-nude strip club" so the fact that the name lives on is kinda cute imho. Michael appears to work as a chef on a boat now, or at least as recently as March 2024. Overall I wish nothing but the best for this dude, and I'm glad he and his family seem to be doing well!

What i think actually happened was neither michael nor Ralph knew how to act with her after both of them fucked her so hard with how she left, with Jess it was more she's a fuck up and shouldn't have made it nearly as far as she did, but with Elsie they both had such a direct hand in her downfall its kinda hard to think she'd want to be on either of their teams

Your story about the gift baskets reminded me of my grandmother and her lawn care guy. I texted my mom and found out something amazing. My grandmother passed in July 2018 and her lawn care guy still takes flowers to her grave.

They didn't finish Michael's story. First of all, he didn't open the second restaurant, HK One. He tried to but it remains inoperational. But apparently, after his time on the show, his wife gave birth to his daughter which passed away very shortly after due to complications. This sent him spiralling which caused a divorce and later in his life his addiction went to such an extent that he ended up homeless and he was later found living under a bridge. Luckily he was able to recover and is now currently remarried, has a new daughter, and running a food truck business.
