Doctors weren't worse in the 80's than now, they are still just as bad. Or more accurately, A LOT of the same people are still practicing medicine. And by that, I mean they are literally practicing psychology by solving all problems with strong medication. The shit I've seen and the shit I've been offered, my god. Granted, as time goes on, the more likely doctors are to be up to date on their knowledge, but I've found that in most fields it's always either the young or the studious whose knowledge is up to date, but most only know what they were taught early. Programmers, doctors, sales, management, etc. And to be fair, being young or studious doesn't make someone right, I was juggled around by young doctors looking for covid for over a month before one figured I was burned out to a point of physical illness, but I hope my point was clear.

A potential continuation of Stranger Things would have involved storylines separate from Hawkins. However, this changed sometime down the line and Stranger Things would continue with the Hawkins storyline. What occurs henceforth was not within the initial scope of what Stranger Things was.

Is anybody else having issues with this video like the audio for the show itself seems to have completely cut off and all I can hear is Alicia and her friend and then it keeps freezing the video and I have to like rewind it and go back to the spot that The stopped playing, but still plays the audio and sometimes the video will play, but then the audio will cut out. It’s been doing similar things like that on a lot of her other videos for a while and I assumed it was something wrong with my Internet connection, but I’ve been checking in other people’s videos run just fine. It seems to only be hers. I don’t know if it’s like a different video player that she’s using. Maybe that’s what it is cause everybody else’s videos have different control schemes, but I’m just curious if this is happening to other people, maybe it works better on a different browser. I don’t know. Just let me know if any of you guys have work around for it

The psychologist scene was pretty good. It's Joyce who summed it up as "pretend like nothing is happening," but that isn't what the doctor said. The doctor just said not to press the kid into talking and let him take it at his own pace. He's offering a method of understanding and patience as opposed to exacerbating stress with further confrontation. Kind of feels like the doctor is talking to a brick wall as it sometimes is when explaining things in a field in which you're an expert to a layperson. Alicia could be talking frame data and hitbox-retention in Tekken to somebody, and they go "Oh, so when they hit me I press down-forward two and it works." Then she takes a deep breath and says, "sure, it's the best thing to do" without continuing on the professional talk since it'll just bounce right off. Not saying that's how an Alicia conversation would go, but it's the best relationship I could draw after marathoning eight episodes of this stuff through a caffeine-addled brain.

PTSD is not something easily fixed. Yeah, they may use medications because you don't want someone flipping the fuck out during an episode. PTSD from combat is straighter forward since you can identify the causes easier, such as watching your friend be blown apart by an IED, or watching a squad get ripped apart when a child wearing a bomb vest comes up to them for candy. The trauma of those events is easier to understand. Will likely has a form of CPTSD which is harder to treat since the trauma isn't as clearly defined. A child who grew up fearing for their life every day because of their stepfather, while being scared of any sort of male contact or being left alone with a man from the sexual abuse of their father, which trauma do you treat? How would you treat them both? What is that same child has attempted suicide before reaching age 6? Would exposure therapy work the same way it does for veterans who can't handle loud noises? Letting Will bring up his trauma naturally without pressing him about it would likely be better since rushing someone back into the trauma will have strong negative results.

You’re Terrible at guessing ages, he was 20 something … high schoolers would treat Will the same as well as adults but ok… How many times are you gonna keep complaining about Johnathon in EVERY SCENE HE IS IN???? no one but the people who were there knew about it and it’s not a thing at the school… Nancy forgave him and is past it a long time ago… I’ve not heard any other reactors constantly complaining about it and bringing it up every SINGLE EPISODE but you 2… We get it, move on. It doesn’t need to be addressed anytime you see him.
