From what one of my criminal psych friends tells me, this unsub was based on a real serial killer who worked for the mob and found out, after one particular hit where he was told to let the victim get eaten by rats, that watching people get eaten by rats made him feel an emotion for the first time in his life: disgust. So, he kept doing it to chase the feeling

These two seem very fond of calling characters stupid when we as viewers get so much more info from the beginning than the characters do. Of course it's easy to suss out that the guy is an undercover cop when we see all those scenes with him.

The "we are dealing with a psychopath" hit harder for me I have psychopathy and my doctors and therapist always said to me "from psycopathy to psycopath you just remove a letter, and cant spell humanity without a y" Is kinda hard because you need to know reasons, have no empathy but learn that respect is way more important than empathy in modern society, there is people with empathy and zero respect for others and that is what make sociopaths, which are way more common to be serial killers, whats worse, people with psycophaty, like me, we usually always think ghe more reasonable outcomes, like 100 options at the time, so we know we wont get away that easily so we dont bother, worse than that, weget boring easily, so even the mentionof being in peison is reason enough to not do crimes since we know our routine would be messed up and we will be boring, so in our psycopathic mind, we just dont bother with crime And thats the difference too a psycopath is the psycopathic person who dont respectnothers and gets bored and "needs" the excitement of dealing with crime or some stuff like that and getting away with it, if we get the how, we can pull out shenanigans that would beat modern police, but is a lot of work, so we need motivation to do so, which in most cases dont do aince most psycopathic persons have depression and anxiety too, like me, and hits hard since normal medication doesnt work on us

i had to chuckle when You pointed out how weird the house is at 5:34 because we get funky lookin' houses like that here in the NE all the time. Different renovations and stuff and mis-matched architecture is something we see all the time w/ older houses. It always makes me do a double-take, too, though, so totally valid, haha.
