time for scared Alicia

Might be fun for them after watching the series to look at one of the short videos explaining how some characters are from or reappear in other Stephen King Books/Movies. In fact, several in this show were mentioned in the IT book either by someone telling a story, or a flashback, many of which were not included in the IT movie(s). More of this draws from the book than people realize if they only saw the IT movies

This is a Taylour Paige simp zone.

dunno if you guys do remember this from the previous movies, but remember, Pennywise has a power that basically blankets the whole town, that basically makes them lulled into a false sense of security, or even just a state of blankness whenever he chooses someone to feed on for the year he's active, hence why there's never been an outward force coming in to help every 27 years, or why in the last 2 movies, practically no one around them ever sees the same thing our main cast sees, or sees violence, racism, and abuse being done to them, because Pennywise uses his power to keep it that way so he can get around without being caught.

Ronix

that intro is a banger

Patrick Waldeck

It wasn't a dream, guys. Pennywise is doing his psychic fuckshit to make people forget things.

Aliulo

Welp. I'm sold after these two episodes. Gotta watch the movies finally.

Reporting back: First movie is great. Second movie is good.

On top of that, Pennywise's presence makes people act even worse than they would normally. So being a little mean can become super mean.

Idk if youve seen the Shining (i dont think this is really a spoiler since it isnt disclosed in the show) but Halloran is the black guy in the Shining with the powers

Hellguin

Chief Bowers is Henry Bowers grand-dad. and then kid Will Hanlon is Mike Hanlon's dad, they keep showing us IT characters that have ties to the movies, love it.

Ok I don’t know if anyone will get this but long days and pleasant nights.

*me first 5 seconds in "aww where the pink guy go, oh there he is he's back"

You know, at the ending, when he points out that they are gangsters in the car instead of who they originally thought they were, I was confused at first when I first watched this show. Now seeing it, it reminds me of the intro where we see a whole bunch of different scenes and tragedies, because in one of them, Pennywise is hopping out a building with a tommy gun.

Lobotomies: Too much stress to deal with? Why not try severe brain damage instead!? (I wish I knew how to type an interrobang on my keyboard.. Truly an underused punctuation mark.) 3:12 Wait... Is that the creepy house from the IT remake part 1? 40:32 If they were in the South, he'd have been lynched the day after Matty went missing. As much as he might not like it, at least the police chief is trying to follow the law as it is on the books. 40:50 That I will NEVER understand. The last thing in the damn world I want to eat while I'm drinking is a hard boiled egg. Nauseous just thinking about it. And I LIKE hard boiled eggs. Okay, well... I make deviled eggs with them, but still... Just fucking plain like that? Not even going to put some salt on it? Blech~ 43:35 More specifically Pennywise is from the Macroverse. Which, if I remember my Stephen King lore correctly, is what exists outside of the universe itself. Like, a space with all the universes in it. Manturin is from there too I think, but isn't evil like Pennywise. (Please, do correct me if you know better. I'm just saying what I can recall off the top of my head. I've seen every Stephen King movie adaptation, read a few of the books, and watched several deep-dive lore videos on YouTube.) 43:50 Well, I mean, technically it is ALL stolen land, so... Yeah. 44:50 Okay, I know I'm yapping a lot here, but I'm stuck at home sick with literally nothing better to do with my day. Anyway; I believe this man has "The Shining". Stephen King has a lot of magical black people in his books for some reason. While more of a positive light, it's still a little racist and otherizing, but for a guy who did that much cocaine while he was writing in the 70's and 80's, I think he meant well. In his own mind at least. 1:03:00 It's horrible, but I can't really blame Lilly either. An asylum in 1962 was basically just 24/7 torture until they broke your spirit completely, or, in failing that, they just hammered and ice pick up your nose and broke your brain instead. My mom was in one for about a year in the late 70's when she was around Lily's age. (Apparently killing your attempted rapist makes you a crazy person?) Better than the 60's, but still utterly barbaric by today's standards. 1:08:38 Don't do that. It's okay to feed your dog cat food, but it's not good to feed your cat dog food. Cats, unlike dogs, are Obligate Carnivores. They can't digest a lot of the filler stuff they put in dog food, so they'll get malnourished if you're just feeding them that. The old Futurama joke where the protesting vegans taught a lion to eat tofu wasn't actually exaggerating when they showed that emaciated, half-dead lion wheeze-coughing. 1:24:25 Yay! Nobody wins!

I'm 100% down for that. King had a whole multiverse going on in his books. That's kinda why The Dark Tower movie was rather disappointing. Idris Elba can only carry a movie so hard.

Vincent Price

look into the film theory video on it. Matt points out why they were able to defeat it in the end after they failed the first time.

Aliulo

? I didn't mention anything about that.
