There is a happy Gundam series called 'Gundam: Build Fighters' everything else is quite dramatic tho. Still really hope you give them a try

And this is unironically thus far one of the happiest gundam series out there. Both because they get some of if not maybe most the despair out in episode one. And it's not thus far following the Gundam theme song of "and then it gets worse from there"

About building gundam, they are not that expensive! The lfrith here is around 20 USD or less, but supply has been kinda small in the sites I buy (hobby link japan), so I hope you can find one!
