A note about Tartarus, its were anyone with a dangerous quirk is put, not just criminals or killer. For example, even if Eri had lived a normal childhood, if she didn't gain enough control over Rewind, there would be a good chance she'd get thrown in Tartarus

Ace's Faves

I'm with you on the contingency, but only for AFO. I would've put two in his head as soon as I saw ppl breaking in.

Agree completely about the lethal contingency , for All for One if nothing else. Instead of flooding the facility with water, just silently fill him room with carbon monoxide so he passes out before realizing he's in danger. Then burn the remains until there's nothing left--gotta treat that motherfucker like Perfect Cell.

The guys in control were stating how they were getting flack from humanitarians, or whatever, for the violation of personal rights that Tartarus practices. If they knowingly had a contingency plan to kill all inmates, than the government would go up in flames for inhumane practices on people that are willingly and unwillingly dangerous to society. That guy in the computer room seams to emulate the worst kind of law enforcement officers with a dated view on the world that is very similar to what the "Normal" population of the X-Men series have towards Mutants. Making an individual that seams to have a warped view of society that they view the inmates as not even being worthy of human rights, encouraged by his position as a law enforcement officer as having the correct view of justice. If given the chance, I feel he could cross the line and torture and kill inmates for the satisfaction of his view on justice, regardless of if they are true criminals or dangerous civilians.

Cold Pressing Mosquitos For Profit

I love rewatching this series because its full of little stuff that you can easily miss the first time around like how all for one found his body using the quirk he stole from one of the wild, wild pussycats

The guy with the blade teeth isn't the one red riot fought. This guy is from the training camp and it was night Dark shadow that beat him.

Not sure that flooding the chambers would have worked well, being that it was pretty much just a few minutes before they realised exactly how screwed they were and the power went down. Considering how much they used tech in controlling the prison, it probably wouldn't have been a good idea to install some sort of kill switch anyway, since someone with a tech quirk may be able to jack in and make use if such a thing to their own advantage, which would be... troublesome. Also, I think they keep more than just prisoners in Tartarus - there's some innocent people who just got shit luck with quirks, iirc. People like Eri with OP quirks, but who never managed to control their quirks and had to be locked away for their and others' own safety, even if they didn't WANT to be a danger. That said, they should absolutely have a kill switch on the more dangerous people like, oh, Muscular, Toothguy and, idk, maybe ALL FOR ONE? You know, the ones who blatantly kill, eat and destroy people? Yeah...

Speed1247

Even with the external EMP the systems were going back online, it was only the secondary EMP that ruined everything, they may have still had a chance before that, but the secondary EMP shut off all the security basically permanently and even if they could have gotten it restarted within a minute odds are it would have been too late by then.

I LOVE that the prison break only worked because All for One was able sync up two bodies with multiple Quirks. Such an INCONCEIVABLE situation, that *of course* no-one planned for it! My only thought on flooding the place is that water could be what makes a Quirk STRONGER. You can't know exactly what Quirks are in the prison at any time, so you kinda have to plan around everything. Of course, that should apply to bullets too. Not sure why they thought that was a bright idea -_- Finally, ummm... Alicia? I totally know what you meant, but those guys in the Tower most likely all have Quirks of their own. Not Heroes, no. But with 80% of the population having Quirks and only TWO characters in the *Total* cast being born Quirkless? Yeah. The ppl in the Tower probably have Quirks. Again, I totally get what you meant though ^^

Yes.... its crazy to kill EVERYONE in the prison because its being attacked. Thats crazy thinking to just kill everyone. At these times i like to quote Gandalf "Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement." You never know what role some people will play in the future if you just cut them down

There are several reasons you can’t have an auto kill switch. Not everyone on Tartarus is bad, some people were put there because their quirk is too dangerous to society, so flooding the chambers would kill innocents. Another reason is, there are a lot of people there with all kinds of quirks, and there is a high possibility there are water based quirks. What if flooding the place with water made them stronger? It would be hard to come up with a kill method that would work on everyone. Also, it would t probably cause an uproar. There are people that already see Taurtaros as inhumane, now imagine if you implemented an auto kill switch and killed everyone? Hero society would crumble even more than it already is. Now, with that being said, they should have used the guns in All For One’s cell as soon as they were notified about the nomu’s. If they would have killed him before the system went down then this wouldn’t have happened.

UltimateFusion96

Ok, the whole flooding the place idea, did it ever occur to u that water would help one of those villains in Tartarus, also there was no way that the guards would ever think that AFO would be able to sync up two bodies with multiple quirks and break everyone out that is way out of the box thinking.

I'm a month late but goddamn Alicia you always gotta jump to murdering the 'bad guys' at every opportunity don't you?

Seafaringtaco

Unfortunately summary execution of prisoners violates their human rights. 😪
