FMAB really get it's claws in you with the trauma bonding.... combined with the writing being S tier - the antagonists/homonculi having their own flavor, while being formidable. the show being adapted "after the fact" allowing them when producing it to minimize the tediousness of serialised anime - the flashbacks, recaps, 6 minutes of every 20 minute episode being recap of what happened in the last episode. so it's incredibly well paced for an anime.

Yeah, FMAB is one of those anime that are just so good and timeless. I don’t like to use the phrase “objectively good” but if I were to use it, FMAB is definitely what I would apply it to. It’s been my favourite since the 5th grade and remains to be so today at age 21. I have rewatched it maybe 9 times, this reaction series being the 10th, and I never get sick of it.

The thing with Code Geass is that it has an unrivaled ending. But it has varying quality throughout, it has some really great storylines and some pretty weak ones. It also falls hard into the fanservice trap, especially in S2.

Ed and Winry make a great couple but it always pisses me off a little that we never got confirmation on Roy and Riza. That was my favorite ship and I feel like it's a given but confirmation would be nice. Anyone knows if that got canon anywhere?

Every single person I have seen FMAB with or watched react to it have reacted the same way to Roys Damn Mustache. This has been one of my favorite FMAB reactions, and I have seen a few throughout the years. Came for the One Piece, and while I am staying for the One Piece because that thing is never going to end, Alicias FMAB reactions have really been an enjoyable experience. I do hope she reacts to the Bloopers and 4-Koma theater shorts. There are some classics among them. I love the fact that Ed continues his journey learning alchemy, despite no longer being able to preform it. I have just always had a love for non-magic mages, people with a deep knowledge on magic, but who are unable to perform it themselves. Because it makes sense that there would be people like that.

I used to love Code Geass but I watch it now and I'm like.. ok.. why are they leaving the blind wheel chair girl with a nuke button alone in a garden with stairs. Why is everyone going to pretend these dudes didn't just nuke a city and kill 50 mil people. We all just ignoring horrendous war crimes? And then the way the characters act and dialogue just has me rolling. Rewatch it on the channel with your modern commentary. Haha it'll be funny as hell.

This anime is my personal favorite and for that I had to give you my money to get the full reaction experience. Now that it's over, the question is, as always, the same. What now? Honestly, this is one of my favourite pieces of entertainment, not just anime. The recap episode was soft, because, well, it's a recap episode, but almost every other episode is solid and there's not really any filler I feel. And as you say, the ending was excellent, which is hard for any series.

More shows should commit to a whole Epilogue Episode :D I personally Love stories that conclude with "and they had plenty more adventures after that... ;) " Because yeah, life goes on. And if you like the characters and world enough, you'd want it to :) But yeah. It's GOOD, right? XD

I know your probably done with fmab for awhile but I would love for you to give fullmetal alchemist (2003) a shot, all the reactors just skip it for brotherhood but its a great anime and even has a different story line to brotherhood so you wouldnt just be watching the same anime

Howdy, another binger sliding in from YT. Loved your reaction, all the pauses to theorize and rant and wax poetic were worth it. I had so many moments of your wrinkly brain catching things I've missed after many rewatched of FMA:B, its been a joy. I'm definitely going to stick around and find another react of yours to binge. It's delayed, but congrats on you winning the fight against cancer. My mom fought and won her fight with cancer when I was little, so hearing you mention it during this series hit home; it's inspiring to hear the bits of your story that you shared. Glad you stayed fullmetal, Alicia!

Couple things. I’m so happy you went on this journey into my absolutely favorite anime. Watching it with you has been both super fun, and a bit irritating at times lol. Nevertheless it’s good to see how much you enjoyed and loved it. Also I met the voice actor for Maes Hughes and got his autograph. He asked me who my favorite character was that he voice acted, and I immediately chose him. He then signed my notebook and drew a damn good drawing of Hughes. Sonny Strait (also voices krillin) is an amazing guy just like his character.

Nah. yall can ignore my anime list for anything having to do with the ranking system, FMAB deserves the #1 spot. The story, the characters, the plot twist, the villains, the philosophy, the world building. Everything this anime represents is just perfect. you'd have to nitpick so hard to find any inconsistency with this show. legitimate 10/10

The experience of watching the og Fullmetal Alchemist as it was airing on Adult Swim was a big part of forming my love of anime. Then, reading the Manga as it was releasing in order to see the true ending, made me love it even more. Seeing all the characters and cut content, along with a satisfying conclusion made me feel like I finally had the complete picture. Then they announced brotherhood, and it's one of the only times I've been able to experience seeing something wonderful I've read be faithfully adapted. Waiting for each new episode, having these memorable characters and fights brought to life meant so much to me. It's sad to think that very few people will ever get to experience it the way I did. You can't even watch the og on any legal streaming services. Most people would skip it anyway. It had its own wildly different heartfelt ending that's becoming lost media. It has been a great time getting to relive part of FMA through fresh eyes. Glad you enjoyed it.
