It's Spielberg. so I want to see it and expect it to be good. if it was just someone else, the trailer did not make me excited.

This is going to sound weird, but what's hooking me about this is the music. I got massive Arrival vibes from it, and that's one of my all-time favorite movies.

With West Side Story the bloom was off the Spielberg rose. This looks ok, but its a lot of FX and if you look at his classic in sci fi, Close Encounters, there is barely any fx really until the end. I hope he has not succumbed to the faster pace of modern films.

Also, Alex, the entire Marvel library is "from the studio that brought you..." without them saying it, and no director is really allowed to stray far from the formula, although the Russo Bros are better than the others.

Minority Report was not remotely original. It’s based based on the novella “The Minority Report” by Phillip K. Dick. Many of Phillip K. Dick’s stories have been adapted into movies and TV shows: Blade Runner Total Recall Screamers A Scanner Darkly (animated with Keanu, RDJ, Woody, Winona) The Adjustment Bureau The Man in the High Castle Paycheck Next Impostor All based on Phillip K Dick novellas and novels.

Did the white house consult with Steven Spielberg when he made "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"? Yes, the White House did consult with Steven Spielberg during the making of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." Spielberg had meetings with officials, including those from NASA and the military, to discuss the film's scientific aspects and its portrayal of UFOs. The aim was to ensure accuracy and to align the film's depiction of government responses to extraterrestrial life with actual policies and protocols. The film sparked significant public interest in UFOs and the possibility of alien life, contributing to discussions around these topics during its release in the late 1970s. Over the past 6 years or so, the Navy and the Pentagon have publicly verified encounters with craft that perform beyond our known understanding of physics, e.g. trans medium (water to air to space) capabilities, speeds beyond our ability, vertical assent at speeds beyond our ability, plasma type qualities, blinking in and out of existence, to name a few examples. There is fairly strong speculation that "Official Disclosure" from this White House is coming. This may be part of a collaboration between Spielberg and the government to help facilitate that disclosure. Or it may just be a movie. I was 10 years old and he was 9 years old. We got up early, before the rest of the family, one Saturday morning to watch cartoons. We went to the kitchen to get our obligatory big bowl of cereal. When we turned the corner to go into the kitchen, we saw that every square inch of everything was bathed in orange light. We went to the westward facing kitchen window overlooking the backyard. About 150-200 feet away and 75-100 feet in the air was a bright orange sphere about 50 feet in diameter. We watched it for about 5 minutes then it slowly moved off to the south. We lost sight of it when it just barely cleared the top of the tree line between us and the neighbors.

Yeah, I said that, and that’s why I followed up with AI (2001). Most sources cite Minority Report as only loosely based on the novella and using only the concept of the story as inspiration, but I haven’t read it personally so I can’t speak to that.

Thank God it wasn't Stephen King. I have NOTHING good to say about that scumbag but this trailer wasn't really good either. Every bit of intrigue and suspense you feel comes from the weird score, nothing else.

It looks good, but it's no Morbius... 👽

The clicking which I assume is the aliens communicating through the humans sounds like the language of the Schisms aliens.
