Phenomenon (Doo - Dooo - Dah - Doo - Doo)

Guilty pleasure -- I love the Ferengi episodes. They've got just the right amount of goofiness mixed with a dash of actual story to make them enjoyable. Occasionally, my brain needs a Snickers

Laura Thornley

Same. There's only one "Ferengi episode" I dislike. Not going to say it until it airs. The rest are a mix of 'dumb but fun' and 'one of the best episodes of Trek ever'.

Scott in Scotland

Is it Sub Rosa 2: Scottish Ferengi Love Holiday?

Scott in Scotland

I think I wish my joke episode concept existed now.

TinMan_7B9

High C, but High Comedy this is not.

Token

A predictable "What If" episode. Quark acting like Quark on Ferengi benevolence. A better comedy would be if Quark EMBRACED the new ROA, lost all his profits, and is indentured to remain on DS9. Also Whiny Bashir isn't comedy, but loved the Nagus buying an unreliable dampening field on the ship for a substantial discount.

Jeff Seely

It's a low B for me. The Bashir stuff is C-tier, but the Ferengi stuff is too much fun for me to not give the episode as a whole a B.

Siva

For me, I give episodes either a thumbs up, a thumbs down, or neutral. So on a tier ranking I guess this would be a C. This is a solid neutral. I don’t dislike anything about it but both plots are pretty forgettable. I generally have liked the Nagus in previous episodes but after this one the same joke starts to get tiresome. A problem with Ferengi episodes in general. Prefer stuff like ‘House of Quark’

NotMinuet

I think this is one of those rare DS9 stinkers. I usually love Grand Negus stories, but this one falls flat all around. D tier, and that’s generous.

HS

Why feel guilty? Ferengi episodes are a hoot and they're meant to be taken lightly. If one isn't able to laugh at these episodes then you have no sense of humor. Some of the commentors here seriously need to lighten up 😄

NzingaAuset

This was a smooth D for me.

Man of Mini Tall Ants

It serves to fill the time slot. After several watches, it still remained mostly forgettable—not that it didn’t have its moments, but not enough to keep it from being a C.

Crewman #6

Once again Quark is somehow involved with the Ferengi head of state and we have the DRAMATIC RETURN OF THE PROPHETS. Yeah it's another Ferengi episode. Sure the awards thing was a nothingburger, but it's nice to have some slice of life with the crew. I don't think it's bad though, it's just fine!

Jacob Laughbon

The Ferengi storyline is probably my favorite part of DS9. Later on in the series, I think ya'll will understand why. ☺️
