Also, I'll be at AnthroCon in Pittsburgh next weekend! I'll be hanging around my partner's table in the dealer's room (Spainimation #C02). I'll have however many books I can fit in my suitcase, plus some art in the art show/auction.

Some other news - I did end up doing a small run of soft cover copies of Oren's Forge Vol 1. They turned out great and after the convention (mid July-ish), I plan to put what I have left up online for sale. I'll give you guys here on Patreon a heads up though so you can have the first crack at them if you're interested. Oh, and I also made some vinyl Rask sticker sheets!

**I've been having issues with my PC. The tldr, my motherboard is on the way out (USB overcurrent issues) and it's a 50/50 chance if my computer will boot. I don't have to risk a restart often but every now and then I do because Wacom drivers (if you know you know).

The page for next week is mostly finished except for two panels and while I think I can get them done before I leave for AnthroCon, there is a not-insignificant chance my computer will give up the ghost between now and then. I can take it in for repairs/sell a kidney for a new motherboard after AC but if I drop off the face of the planet/miss a week/late a few days... that's probably why.

I don't see Rask being saved either , even if not directly at his paws he has brought death to the Hollow (and to his father too, we could say) at his every action, I don't see how he doesn't end up being exiled or worse

Check to make sure any big usb devices (like the tablet) are plugged into usb-pd compatible ports. Not all usb ports are created equal. Some can deliver more power than others, the high power ones are usually marked with lightning bolts or are usually usb3.0 or higher which are colored differently, either red or blue. Or, i've also seen some issues with the front panel header extension cable being damaged and causing issues. I wouldn't expect the motherboard to be the issue with that specific error. If it still shows up with all usb devices unplugged I'd check that front panel cable first before anything else. Im not sure with all Wacom tablets, but mine has 2 usb cables and one of them is meant to plug into a wall charger instead of the back of the pc so that the computer doesnt have to power the entire thing

Ah, thanks.. I have done all the normal things to diagnose/fix it. I get the overcurrent error even with nothing plugged in. A couple years ago, I dealt with this issue (intermittently) and traced it to a short in my keyboard (after going through one by one and making sure all the USB ports were fine.) Things were fine for years, but now the issue is back as of last month. Absolutely nothing has changed on my system-- USB ports/pins still look good, nothing touching that shouldn't be. Every tech I've ever had take a look at it has said it's likely a motherboard issue at this point. MB is from 2018 so it isn't exactly a spring chicken. (The issue with my Wacom is that it's from 2015 and needs to be babied-- If I move my tablet in a way it doesn't like it will forget how drivers drive and I have to logout/switch users to reload the drivers, which is what leads [me] to accidental shutdowns/reboots and the overcurrent death spiral.)

Swift really stepped in it this time. Now she’s caught between the Hollow and the Zenith. Only chance Swift has is if she picks a side, and the side that MIGHT spare her family is the Hollow. Only way I see this working; Rask suggests that they take her pups and her mate hostage. That might be the only thing that forces Swift to listen.

I wonder if Red was actually expecting Swift to attack them. Rask did warn Red that the prey would fight. That they had weapons. To see Swift return wounded, maybe he'll take things seriously and have to be the one to talk for the family. I also wonder what Swift's pups are thinking of the prey though. I mean, their first live interactions so far has been: A bunny rabbit saved them from their uncle going to kill them. A marten gave them fish...

I bet she’s kicking herself for not eating Rask when she caught him in the woods. If she wasn’t going to listen to Rask for the sake of agreeing to be peaceful around the prey animals, then she could have at least used the information he gave to understand that she should just go ahead and eat him right then and there, because if what he’s saying is true then he’s the most safe and easiest option for a decent meal she and her family would probably ever get in that forest.

MSI mpg x570 ms-7c37 version 2 (god their naming conventions), and looks like it's actually from 2019 (not 2018 like I thought).

Googling online says that this is actually a fairly common issue for MSI boards of that era. They've also said the updating the bios often times can fix the issue. When's the last time the bios was updated? Looks like the latest bios was released in September of 2025 for that board

She was trying to take Sibyl with her... I hope she isn't dead, but it isn't looking good, and now Swift has fucked herself over with what will be a bunch of open face wounds. I imagine Red will do his best to try and get the quills out but... medicine ain't exactly thing.

Oh! I hadn't thought to check that. My BIOS is out of date so I'll try that after I get back from AC, since I don't want to risk a restart before I get all my ducks in a row. Thank you! It also looks like some people have connected the issue to overheating which might be a factor (I don't have A/C and it's been hot here all week.) All my internal temps look fine but that could help explain why the problem comes and goes.
