Good question. We don't know where Scree went. Also, how many wolves are there that is about to hunt the woods? Is it just these 4 or are there multiple groups that we haven't seen just yet? Did they split up if there are? Ramble knows his sister ain't sick in the head. He probably knows she wouldn't just attack for no reason. He knows something is up. The problem is what happens if they stumble upon Swift and her family. Ramble would definitely defend them but they wouldn't have the strength or numbers in their favor. Swift is likely in no condition to fight further right now. Red and the Pups are not fighters.

Oh sure a “conversation”

Keen is not keen of sight anymore..

At least, we got confirmation several pages ago that all of them knew that Swift has pups, and that they willingly denied them a place within the Zenith (to avoid too many mouths to feed). However, does Hap know that Singer and the other wolf with them (I forgot his/her name) were intending not to chase Swift's family away, but to mercilessly kill them?

I love how expressive Singer is when he’s lying. Also I wonder if the “something else dead” is Seral or Sibyl.

"If they're smart" well about that lmao I'm pretty sure Swift would come in second place in a battle of wit with a sack of potatos, bless her soul Singer is one of those characters that I'm really falling in love with, even though he's kind of a melodramatic ass. Though that's probably exactly why I love him

Julian Seguin

That “something else” is definitely Seral

Grey

Singer might straight up just be a sadist lol. I'm not sure why Pivot and Keen were going along with it though. Pivot seemed pretty happy to undermine him with the Zenith pair, so I don't think it's to keep info from Hap? Hap certainly doesn't care about killing some pups and probably not killing anyone else either, but I do wonder if she'd be mad about how Singer handled it.

makes me wanna reread volume 2 and see if I can discern if he told any lies to Seral or Swift. though much of what he told them about the Zenith has proven true

Gale Tazzin

Singer's expression in panel 5 really gets me. He genuinely feels sorry about Keen, and given how he's twisting the truth to Hap, he probably blames himself for it. Notably, he's avoided doing anything to antagonize Ramble up to this point, even when Pivot tried to rile him up. He overplayed his hand with Swift and he knows it.

Gale Tazzin

I think he's ashamed for pushing too hard. He planned to goad Swift into a fight, but it's entirely his fault it became 2v2 instead of three on one. Keen's death could've been anticipated from taking on an alpha wolf, but Scree's defection is on him

Grey

Good point! I hadn't considered his reaction from that angle. He did look very nervous when talking about what happened to the Zenith.
