The boys somehow managed to persuade Rob Smyth to come on to talk about a very famous footballing season. Before they even get to Manchester United's group of death there is some Ronaldo action, Arsenal's trouble at Wembley, why VAR was needed in the first place and just what was going on with Greek football.

Never confuse movement with action.

Thanks again Martyn, Adam & David for another great episode in this very enjoyable series and special thanks to special guest Rob, always great to hear his insights on Man Utd and the game. Really enjoy your input Rob, I always learn something. ManU often get the 'love to hate' tag but in this period I was 'hate to love' them. Aye by this point every 7yr old and Sky viewing 'hipster' were their biggest fans but as a lover of football - how could you not love watching the football they were playing? But for me, like David, it was a somewhat covetous affair. Jealously peeking through the CL stars and thinking "coulda / shoulda been us" 🥲. Amazing football to enjoy though!

Kinda enjoyed the Man U side before this one - with Kanchelskis, Giggs, Sharpe, Cantona. Not as good as the ones to follow but they were great to watch, so explosive

100%. Always at their best when they had flying wingers. Preferred earlier sides myself TBH but found myself 'supporting' them in the CL this season and admired the way they slayed their demons to get their ultimate dream. Driven by the lack of success at this level.
