Another great "prospect", my only hope is we are also targeting more over ready players who can walk into a starting 11. It's always mixing the future with the now, currently it's loads of future (investment) but we also need some now (experience)

Doogz

Hopefully we can develop the player and he has a Bassey like impression on the team.

Neil Wilson

Sounds like an interesting talent with big upside. Left footed centre back, who based on video clips is fairly comfortable on the ball who can play through the lines. I've seen some comments online about whether he'll start or not. He's not coming to the SPFL to sit on the bench.

Alan Stewart

I have no doubts the experienced heads will arrive soon Richard. The coaching staff will know what’s required.

Heart and Hand

He’s come to play Neil, straight into first team squad.

Stuart McWilliams

I would guess the budget for more experienced players will depend on moving a few out, so they might be later in the window.

Rod

He's 20, people acting like he's 17 the way they are talking about him.

Spoon

It’s how it has to be from now on, stop pretending guys who are 20 are kids and get them into the team. The delay until ready mantra just isn’t working and it leaves young players in limbo without the required game experience until it’s too late. Get them in fresh hungry and with the eye of the tiger then give them some time and space. He will make mistakes, we need to let him and hopefully others of that similar calibre establish themselve. Positive moves so far in terms of profile.

Shows what we think of our own youth and our youth set up. It seems we are specifically looking at this age group but feel we don’t have the home grown talent

Craig

Surely Davies can be shipped out now, he must be on some wages! Which obviously may be a problem in moving him on!

Heart and Hand

It’s weird, we played Bassey, sold him for a fortune and….immediately stopped buying and playing youngsters 🤷🏻

Graham Jones

This one came out of nowhere, and that gives me a lot of reassurances. It means they are very active in recruitment and keeping some of their cards hidden. We can’t say anything until we see the player in action. But all we can say, for sure, is welcome to the club and be positive about it. At the very least it gives you something for tomorrow’s Update.

Rona Bluebell

Oh shucks, I’m in love again 💙

Think it’s more than that though David, we hoover talent from Scottish clubs then put them in cold storage nervous to play them until they are ‘not kids’ where other teams give youth a chance knowing it’s erratic but needs those formative years to get to any decent level. The way we waste young Scottish talent in particular while giving anyone from outwith a chance at the same age is criminal. What we have done to guys like King is a shambles. As you say I think if the support know the plan, see a path being followed and understand there will be set backs they will stay the course. This flip flopping we do is both unproductive and short termism in the extreme. What we have been doing isn’t working, we need a sea change and soon or we are in danger of really losing our way.

Our B team play about 7 games a season and rarely produce a decent 1st teamer Id shut it down Whats the point of paying fortunes to train and nurture players for the rest of Scottish footbal Shut it down and simply cherry pick the best talent from other teams
