Funny you mention the Kuyt fee compared to Berba's. Kuyt was one of the most prolific young strikers in Europe when he signed for Liverpool - Rafa being Rafa promptly turned him into a workhorse winger. Cheers lads, great show.

The Liverpool assessment is fair too I think, arguably the poorest side to win the UCL before or since '05, pretty sure Carragher has owned up to that too.

Regarding the Liverpool squad. I listened to a podcast that Stephen Warnock was on.He despises Benitez. I can’t remember the exact details but think the players were on 100k each if they won the trophy and he missed out on a place on the bench
