Thought we were poor yesterday in comparison to the Dundee Utd game. Hopefully we can get Hagi and others away in January. Hagi his usual 5 or 6 out of 10 and waste of a jersey.

Heart and Hand

Disagree on everything there Kenny. Hagi was one of our better players and we were better than v DU imo.

David Campbell

Delighted to get the win but this squad has vibe of man united under ten hag every game domestically is a chore

Scott Dickson

Yesterday was one of the better 1-0s we’ve had, too many of them have a high level of jeopardy and we’ve been stung on several occasions by not getting the 2nd goal. Makes me wonder if 2x CDMs in Barron/Raskin can ever work. It’s a great base in Europe (ex EPL big-money signing Ndombele genuinely looked like he wanted to cry on Thursday because they were just on him constantly). But we’re not getting any creative output from either. If we are going to persist with solely a 4-2-3-1 (and we are, get used to it), then is it time to get a Hagi/Diomande as the 8 and Bajrami/Lawrence in as the 10. Would be harsh on Raskin or Barron, but it all screams a bit too much of the Jackamara days for me…

Heart and Hand

You are right on the lack of creativity but then a few weeks ago before the two of them teams were walking through our midfield constantly. We don’t have right balance.

David

Very Unstruthian music imo

Cifuentes situation comes about because of how weak we look on fees. The accounts are a public document, of course that £810k is going to be known! Need to stand our ground here. We worked hard to get fees up to the £4m plus for likes of Kamara and Sakhala who didn’t have a future with us. Very rapidly been undone

Stephen

Hagi is probably one of the most overrated players for us in recent years but he was decent yesterday

Stephen

Surely we can give Tavernier a testimonial in July and get rid of him in August. Best for both parties.

Doug Young

Pretty dull fare, but a lot less shaky than recent. Hagi's desire to always look forward is something that quite glaringly has been missing for so long and your comment on the post-match, David, about him being a step ahead of those around him was quite evident. Movement very good. Tav was probably as solid as he's been all season.

Colin Mathie

Imagine saying the performance was good yesterday, what game was he watching, we were awful, as per when it comes to our domestic form.

Jim Milne

If Aris don't pay the £4m, someone else will with his performances this season.

Jim Milne

Shame about Gio, he's just too nice a man.

Granters

Not sure where Clement’s getting the idea that their keeper played a blinder? The saves he made were all straightforward ones that you’d expect a keeper to make. We didn’t ask particularly hard questions of him.

Greg

Watching lots of it back we were pretty comfortable after the 20th minute, unfortunately we play a brand of football that's so ponderous and boring to watch it's driving people insane, myself included.

Scott Dickson

Makes you realise Steven Davis was the cornerstone of our success 3-4 seasons ago. Without him I’d argue the whole thing could’ve turned out for the worse, as we never had that midfield balance right with Jack and Kamara either

Heart and Hand

Have you seen a more telly save keeper recently? Boy was giving it the full Buffon I thought for fairly straightforward saves!

Iaian

Funny you mentioned a number 2 for Gio. I was thinking the exact same thing before you mentioned it. Gio with a figure head type as number 1 would be really good. Gio works in tactics and preparing for specific opponents. The figure head drives the overall culture of the team.

Gary Shaw

I’m with you on that…So overhyped it’s scary….if he had a different surname, nobody would bat an eyelid at the boy….That being said he was picking up good positions and at least wanting the ball ….Its just when he gets it that he’s not very good with it but never hides to be fair which can’t be said for some other players.

Grant McNeil

Would a properly functioning club sack the manager before the inevitable disaster that feels just around the corner or allow it to plod on until said disaster. Just feels like were sleep walking into it a bit at moment.

Doug

The point about Tav's stats isn't entirely correct. This time last season Tav had 4 Goals from Open Play and 4 Assists. Currently he has 1 Goal from Open Play (1.5 if you give him some credit for Holt's OG) and 4 Assists (second most in the squad). His goals have dropped slightly, but the assists are on par. The main difference in his overall goal tally is because we're not getting penalties this year whereas last year we got loads. That's got nothing to do with either Tav's ability or age. When you then dig into the underlying numbers like Chance Creation, Big Chances Created, Progressive Passes, Touches etc... Tav continues to hit similar figures to before, and critically still higher than a number of his team mates. He had some big errors early doors this year following an incomplete pre-season and he's obviously not as quick as he once was but overall he is still contributing to the team. While I'm fully behind us making the transition away from Tav at RB this year (I was excited by Kasanwirjo) I feel there's a bit of false narrative being built up about the severity of the drop in his play.

Jim Milne

Unless the board decide to do SJ & Family stand upgrades ala Copland. Testimonial will be at Hampden 🙄

Rose Mcloughlin

Hopefully no one suggests we get gio back...I nearly died of boredom watching his team playing...no spirit except for euro games...funny that..? Could it be we have too few Scottish players in our team the last 10 years....I love our players but so many struggle with our league.
