Fair comment from yourself James. The way you support is a matter for every individual, group think is never good at the best of times. If all things were running smoothly and we were in a competitive season that would be a bog standard home win. Taken on its own merits it’s a decent result at home in January. We aren’t running smoothly and this isn’t a game in isolation, or at least I can’t see it like that, it wasn’t poor but it also didn’t gloss over the many other issues in and around the club. On the subs, he has to keep using the guys that will step in IF we have other injuries. I personally would use the youth guys especially those like Lovelace but I can understand why he is trying to give his ‘first team squad’ minutes. They wouldn’t be my first ports of call but I can see why he used them given what we have seen from him in the past. Nothing changes for me until the manager changes, he might want to only work week to week and I guess that’s all he can do but this is a wider problem that’s been going on too long and individual games won’t change my opinion on what needs to happen: If we want the young CB to develop we need to give him game time now or he will be another guy who is a youth player at age 22 with no game time. He is wasting away in the reserves with little competitive football.

My take on the protest for what it’s worth. Agree 100% that everyone has the right to protest as they want to do. But do not try and force it on to others and then argue if they don’t agree or do what you think is right. We are a broad church and one thing that age has taught me is to be pragmatic. However for me we should be behind the team fully for 90 minutes. By all means hold banners up and make some chants it that’s what you want to do but it doesn’t do anyone any good not backing the team. Nobody is happy at the moment but we need to be united as a support during the game. We have a new chairman and CEO. They need some time and I sort the shit out and hopefully begin moving us forward again. For me the manager should be sacked but I also honestly think that it won’t solve anything short term. It may well be that we have to suck it up the next few months. Whilst I don’t agree with that I will continue to support the talk 100% Sorry for the lengthy post - just my opinion WATP
