Surely we give Rice, Curtis, Nsiala et al the rest of the season to prove their worth, gain experience and prepare for the next few years? The strategy of giving them 5-10 minutes here and there against the SPL dross was proved ridiculous tonight. Let them sink or swim, especially if the alternative is Dowell, Bajrami and the “made of glass” treatment table merchants.

Bajrami is so frustrating. Should be taking responsibility in these games but was largely anonymous. Proof of the pudding is he wasn’t missed after the substitution.

We are a moments team, good and bad. Look great in monents, shocking in others. We desperately need reliable bodies - fitness and ability - who can give 7/10s each game. Over and over. Until we can get a starting 11, with 4 or 5 who can be rotated in and out we won't be improving greatly IMO. We have a few shining lights amongst the nonsense. Another window or two needed. Gave their all - well most did, Bajrami? What does he do. Anyway, safe travels to anyone attempting to get up the road tomorrow 👍

Allan

Well done to the manager for bringing on the young lads. Hopefully, Rice, Curtis, and young Nsiala will get a lot of games in the remainder of this season.

John Smith

Put in a shift with what we had. Couldn’t of done a lot else

Keith Kettlewell

So proud of that team tonight. Good to see the young lads. Unfortunately they only played tonight out of necessity

I feel Bajrami is another Hagi in the making, a player who can show lovely, inventive touches, but someone who rarely bosses a game even against the SPL jobbers. Bajrami and Hagi seem to have the quality to shine week in, week out in Scotland, but they simply don’t have that gallus type of Souness attitude where they control games even against much weaker opponents.

Now they need to back this manager because he made us look good tonight with this performance. Sure, we didn’t win, but maybe now people will see what he has been working against all season. He’s not been given a real budget, and even at the weekend they brought in some guy who has hardly kicked a ball all season to have a look at him. It tells us they don’t have any money to spend in this window, and they intend to disrespect a manager who has carried the can for their failures as a board. The players didn’t let anyone down tonight, because we had everything being thrown against us tonight. Luck deserted us at the end, but we come away having given one of the richest clubs in the world the scare of their lives. You illustrated the magnitude of the financial gap beautifully comparing the substitutions that were made by both sides. Disappointed not to win, but proud of a performance with eight players missing, but proud of what we got from those available. Two experienced players in the summer would’ve made a difference tonight, but then they would’ve made a difference all seasons s well. It’s time they helped the manager because he’s crafted a silk purse from a sows ear again tonight. No idea why they can play like this in the theatre of dreams but struggle when they go to Dens Park on a Thursday evening. It’s all about Tannadice on Sunday now, so the layers need to put this behind them and not dine off it for a few weeks. They need to knuckle under and go there and win.

And thought Ridvan was awful tonight….that said very proud of the youngsters and thought they didn’t look out of place!

We are a small team. We got a corner in the second half and it was a case of 'get the big guy up'. Their entire team looked giant compared to us. We fought well, I'm glad we get these games to keep our seasons interesting and it's nice to know we have a bit of heart about us. Doesn't always seem like it.
